✨ Meeting Recap – June 18✨
We had 10 attendees at our Toastmasters meeting — a TTC shut down may have affected some attendees best intentions to show up!
Jamie did a great job serving as Toastmaster regaling us with the life of Madonna. 🫦

🔍 General Evaluator: Brian, reminding the evaluators to get the speech objectives, timing and pathway from the speaker before the meeting and let the audience know these elements of the up-coming speech when making the evaluator’s initial comments while the toastmaster is responsible for the title and short speaker introduction for the speaker. 💰

🎤 Phoebe delivered “Focus on the positive” for her level 3 speech from the Dynamic Leadership pathway⛄❄️, evaluated by John.
🎤 Jim shared “Am I really here?,” with his Ice Breaker speech detail his younger years and coming out process with family. Shane.
Table Topics:
Hosted by Akeylah, leading to a wide variety of entertaining and creative responses from participants. She also completed here Active Listening project listening carefully to responses to questions posed and reminding the audience of the most salient fact shared by each speaker after they spoke.
🏆 Awards:
The Table Topics Award went to Brian for the time he saw Madonna give a raunchy performance at the Sky Dome 🥩
Grammarian Award was earned by John for his use of the word of the day most times - congratulations! 🎉

✨ Meeting Recap – June 1 ✨

We had 18 attendees at our Toastmasters meeting — an energetic evening full of humour, indulgence, and tons of learned moments!

Tristan did a fantastic job serving as Toastmaster for the first time and leading the meeting with the fun and engaging theme: “Guilty Pleasures” 🫦

We welcomed guests Benny, Dave, Bashiyr, and Lilie — thank you for joining us, we hope you had fun!

🎤 Jamie delivered “How the Guy Named Jamie from Salisbury, New Brunswick Became Mr. Price in Toronto,” and did such a great job that not even BonHomme could convince us otherwise ⛄❄️, evaluated by Shane.
🎤 Akeylah shared “Crowdsourcing Mentoring,” with her novel take on being a protege evaluated by Derek.

We had 17 attendees at our Toastmasters meeting — a fun evening filled with lots of energy, laughter, and cleaning puns!
Akeylah did a fantastic job serving as Toastmaster for her first time and leading the meeting with the very timely theme: “Spring Cleaning” 🌸🧹

We had 17 attendees at our Toastmasters meeting—a great mix of members and guests bringing lots of energy and participation throughout the evening! Seven guests attended. We welcomed four new members fully registered . Welcome Tristan, Wei and Naida. Welcome back as a member Mohammad.
Brian was our Toastmaster with the theme District 60 Conference Review

We welcomed guests Guillherme, Bashiyr, Mortenza, Angela, Tommy and Romeo and Romeo's wife Alisa who was an Area Director in Vancouver—thank you for joining us! You all did a fantastic job.

After the meeting a group of 9 of us went to Bishop & Belcher for some food and socializing.

🏆 Awards:
The Table Topics Award went to guest Angela with her excellent discussion on whether Toastmasters is a cult, the Grammarian Award was earned by Shane for his use of language in hosting Table Topics tonight.

The Table Topics Award went to Tristan with his excellent Trump impersonation and the Grammarian Award was earned by Averra for her use of language in her Ice-Breaker speech well done both of you!
