All Creatures Rescue
You can’t change the whole world, but you can change someone’s whole world. Our focus is helping animals in laboratories and high kill shelters.
All Creatures Rescue is dedicated to the ongoing rescue and rehabilitation of animals that have been neglected, abused or have special needs. We are a group of volunteers based in Toronto and surrounding areas, but work alongside a network of other rescues and sanctuaries across North America. WANT TO DONATE TO OUR VET BILLS/SUPPLIES? One of the Looney Tunes boys was rushed to emergency care today. The prognosis is not good but he is comfortable and stable.
While the outcome is not what we hoped for, thanks to all of you who support our work all the animals at All Creatures Rescue, including the three rat boys who are permanent fosters, are getting the care they need.
If you are able to donate a tooney or five for the Looney Tunes please send an e transfer to :
[email protected]
If you would like to foster, adopt or help behind the scenes send us a shout.
Please send this kid and his foster mom some love as they spend the weekend having one last adventure.
Over the last 13 years we have rescued over 7000 animals from labs, including these three. All of you who spread the word about our rescue are responsible for giving lab animals a second chance at a wonderful life.

🚯 Your Handouts Are Harmful Not Helpful!
Why feeding wild canids and other animals is a bad idea:
⚠️ Most anthropogenic (human-provided) food is just not good for wildlife. Their nutritional needs are not the same as our domestic pets or us. The health of wildlife is connected to the land, water, flora, and fauna in their world.
🐺 Coyotes need to forage and hunt for their sustenance and not rely on human handouts. Feeding any wildlife increases their proximity tolerance to people and high-activity areas such as parks, parking lots, cemeteries, backyards, and trails.
🚮 Feeding wildlife puts them at an increased risk of encountering people, pets, and unsafe situations. Their natural wariness is impacted by food rewards. Community members are also put in situations that they never expected or initiated. Like this true, lived experience at a mall in the parking lot - a shopper was approached by a coyote while in the middle of loading groceries. When a canid approaches your personal space while recreating outdoors, the coyote has likely been given a hand-out.
🫴 Feeding is essentially, and literally "killing wildlife" with misguided/deliberate intentions. More often than not, communities that have unresolved human-wildlife conflict that results in a bite or physical interaction between a person and a coyote, or other wildlife - started with people feeding or baiting to bring an animal closer. Far too frequently, wildlife pays with their lives.
🚯 Please do not feed wildlife. Their lives depend on our restraint and respect.
Please circulate this vital message.

It's Raining Rats!
A few extraordinary folks hit the road today, and drove more hours than we want to think about to save some rats.
A ton of boys have arrived, and over the next few weeks tons more rats are coming to All Creatures Rescue IF we can get enough word of mouth and support. We need to find seven foster homes or we will have to leave some behind!
We also have some surgeries coming up this week that will be over a grand.
We urgently need foster homes, adopters and most importantly your loud and beautiful voices!

If you think rodents are pests to be killed, and do not think this mentality can end in tragedy affecting you - think again! A while back we were living in a high rise and our indoor only cat managed to find and kill an outdoor "pest". If the mouse had eaten poison, which takes many painful hours to do the job, our indoor only cat would have died.
🐺🌿🐀 Join the folks over at Project Coyote on May 28 for their FREE webinar, How Rodenticides Threaten Bobcats, Coyotes, & Urban Wildlife 🐀🌿🐱
Wildlife poisoning doesn’t stop with rodents.
When hawks, bobcats, coyotes, foxes, or mountain lions consume poisoned rats and mice, toxic rodenticides move up the food chain, weakening wildlife, disrupting ecosystems, and threatening the health of entire communities.
Join Project Coyote’s State Advocacy Manager, Kiely Smith, for a compelling conversation with Dr. Laurel Serieys, Conservation Biologist & Post-Doctoral Researcher, The Ohio State University Urban Coyote Research Project, and Lisa Owens Viani, founder and executive director of Raptors Are The Solution (RATS). Together, we’ll explore the hidden impacts of rodenticides on wildlife and discuss effective, non-lethal approaches to managing rodents while protecting the carnivores who help keep ecosystems in balance.
