We’re wrapping up May with so many moments worth celebrating. Mother’s Day, some beautiful weather, and lots of cotton candy made it a fun and memorable month. We can’t forget celebrating Nursing Week and PSW Day, and recognizing the incredible staff who make such a difference every day.

We can’t wait to see what our Safehaven clients will be up to in June!

From a day at to belly dancing and lots of cake, this month was full of sweet moments.  Happy birthday to all of our May superstars. We loved celebrating with you!

At Safehaven, we see how accessible spaces and thoughtful care open up opportunities for our clients to explore and enjoy everyday moments. This week and always, we’re committed to building a more accessible and inclusive community for all.

Help us build a space for kids Safehaven is a not-for-profit providing residential, respite, and transitional care for people with medical complexities and disabilities. For 35+ years, we’ve fostered inclusion, dignity, and belonging in safe, welcoming environments.

Safehaven Kids Series: Tesnim

Tesnim loves getting hands-on, especially when animals are involved! Therapy dog visits and Zoo To You days are always a highlight, and moments like this on the rink make it even more fun ⛸️

With her gentle nature and sweetest smile, she brings such a peaceful energy! You’ll often find her with one of her favourite Squishmallows or a doll, bringing comfort wherever she goes. She loves being in new environments, where she has so many opportunities to explore and discover.
