Dharma Friends supports Buddhist meditation practice among members and friends of Toronto's LGBT community, bringing together diverse Buddhist traditions.
Dharma Friends was started in 1999 to support Buddhist meditation practice among members and friends of Toronto's GLBT (gay, le***an, bisexual and transgender) community. Our members come from a variety of different Buddhist traditions. We have Zen, Tibetan and Theravadan practitioners. We have members who attend a Buddhist centre regularly, and some with no connection to a centre or tradition. So

About the speaker:
Paul Kelly is a psychologist who has practiced meditation for 45 years. He has studied in various traditions, including Zen and Vipassana.
At Toronto General Hospital, he led meditation groups attended by over 1,000 individuals, including groups for individuals with HIV.
Paul is the founder and Clinical Director of the Mindfulness Clinic in Toronto where he supervises 20+ therapists who provide virtual psychotherapy in the GTA and throughout Ontario.
