Tonight’s menu: a dash of eye of newt, a pinch of dead man’s toe, and a whole lot of budget-friendly magic! 🧙♀️🔮✨
I finally put together the Hocus Pocus themed dinner party of my dreams, and I am officially obsessed with how it all turned out. I wanted the table to feel like you were stepping right into the Sanderson Sisters’ cottage—complete with moody lighting, spellbound details, and plenty of spooky charm.
The best part? Almost ALL of the decor came straight from Dollar Tree! 🤫🧹 With a little creativity (and maybe a spell or two), simple bargain finds like plastic cauldrons, faux cobwebs, dark taper candles, and eerie glassware transformed into a full-on Salem banquet. It just goes to prove you don’t need to spend a fortune to host a night filled with pure magic.
Now, who’s ready to run amok, amok, amok? 🎃🕯️
The Sanderson Table Setup:
Centerpiece: DIY cauldron floral arrangement with dark, moody greenery
Placesettings: Layered black plates, apothecary potion bottles, and custom menu cards
Ambiance: Dimmed flickering candlelight, floating potion jars, and vintage-inspired spellbook accents

Day 19/85: Taking it back to 1992 with the classic, OG Batman: The Animated Series Harley Quinn. Before the pigtails and the baseball bat, it was all about the jester suit, giant mallet, and playing sidekick to Mr. J. 🤡♦️

Some of you may die, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make… for this costume. Standing tall (spiritually) at 5’2” and ready to evict some fairytale creatures.

Day 16 of 85: Dr. Ellie Sattler 🦖🌿
“Run!” If you need me, I’ll be digging through a ten-foot pile of Triceratops droppings, resetting the island’s power grid, or explaining paleobotany to men who think they’re in control.
