Glad to be hosted by .npo for an eventful author's night! I shared the stage with two other authors - and , and each of us shared our motivations behind writing our respective books and our thought processes.
I talked about how I wrote The Bird That Ruled Bombay to blend my love for the sciences and history to create a unique cross-genre novel. Also highlighted how growing up in Delhi where history whispers centuries-old tales at every corner led to my obsession with secrets buried in time.
Overall, an insightful session and grateful to .npo for organizing it and fellow authors - and for their insights and delightful company!

Twisty, fast-paced and quirky writing.
That's how I would describe this thriller - The Midnight Feast by . It is set in a wellness resort set in the British countryside and features a bunch of characters with different yet somehow intertwined fates.
It is written with a multi - POV and the shifts keep the book engaging.
Would recommend to fans of Freida McFadden who are bored of similar domestic tropes.

A ship wrecked for several years in the Arctic is about to be destroyed and some explorers decide to check it out before its destruction.
I feel that the premise had a lot of exciting potential to be an adventure thriller with suspense and horror. But it turned out to be more of a historical fiction with traumatic backstories with little focus on the horror aspect. It didn't match my taste but someone interested in reading sad books might like it.
