With a master's degree in social work and an honors degree in sociology, my life's focus has always been to help people. A place where shared values take physical form
For many years, my work has centered on mental health, ADHD, and neurodiversity, supporting people through reflection, connection, and care. That commitment has not changed. What is changing is the form it takes and where my energy is now being directed.
I am excited to announce that I am part of a new project called Book Bar. Book Bar is a new chapter, and it represents a meaningful shift in my day to day work as an ADHD coach. Book Bar is a welcoming, in-person space rooted in awareness, community, and acceptance. It is an independent bookstore and bar where people gather around books, share conversations, and create meaningful interactions and experiences. At Book Bar, ideas can move off the page and into real connection, where curiosity is encouraged, differences are respected, and all minds belong.
While this is a new business and will be where much of my time and focus lives going forward, my commitment to ADHD and neurodiversity does not waver. This work remains deeply embedded in how Book Bar is imagined, curated, and held. The venue has changed, and the audience has broadened, but the values are the same.
This is not a coaching practice. It is a thoughtfully created space designed to honour mental health and neurodiversity in a more communal way, alongside my ongoing Board work and advocacy efforts.
Book Bar is a calm, inclusive place to slow down, listen, reflect, and feel connected. A third place for people who value meaningful conversation and gentle growth, without pressure or performance.
Whether you have followed my work for years or are discovering this space for the first time, you are warmly invited.
Opening Spring 2026.

Understanding ADHD in children starts with seeing their behaviour through a different lens. What looks like distraction, big emotions, or endless energy is often their brain working overtime to process the world. With the right support, patience, and tools, these challenges can become strengths. Every child deserves to be understood, not judged. 💛

Your “Defiant” Kid Isn’t Broken—They’re Trying to Connect
In a deeply validating conversation on the Good Inside podcast, Dr. Becky Kennedy and Dr. Gabor Maté dismantle common parenting labels like Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and reframe “acting out” as exactly what it is: a cry for help from a child who feels unseen, overwhelmed, or disconnected.
Your “Defiant” Kid Isn’t Broken—They’re Trying to Connect Why acting out is a cry for help, not a diagnosis If your child has ever been labeled as “oppositional,” “defiant,” or “difficult,” you're not alone—and neither is your kid.

"He’s not like this at home." Thousands of parents hear this—and then get pulled into a whirlwind of behavior charts, diagnoses, and guilt. But what if the issue isn’t behavior at all?
What if it’s a hidden learning disability, like Dyslexia, being mistaken for defiance? This powerful reflection sheds light on the system’s blind spots—and why we must stop labeling kids before understanding them.
Behaviors Before Dyslexia by Lauren TaylorHe doesn’t show any of this behavior at home. Are you sure someone didn’t say something to him or do something that he could have felt threatened by?
