Our weekly workshops, led by certified instructors and seasoned pros, are structured like a gym session for your game: 50-minute training sessions, capped at 6 players per session, designed to help you improve with purpose.

Topics rotate monthly from core fundamentals to advanced strategy. Suitable for all skill levels, so you can train with intention and see real progress over time. This month's topics:

If you’ve spent any time around the tables at Pool Lab this past year, chances are you’ve seen Farhan Mumtaz running lessons on the projector, filming training content, or coaching players remotely. Today, we are proud to officially welcome him to our Professional Instruction Team, where he will be joining Erik Hjorleifson and Waleed M. Hashem as our official instructors at Pool Lab, continuing our mission to provide structured, high-level coaching and player development.

Farhan brings elite-level credentials to Pool Lab. He is a Level 2 Certified Instructor through both the Professional Billiards Instructors Association and the ACS American CueSports Alliance. These certifications matter. They represent a deep understanding of the science, mechanics, and teaching methodology behind high-level cue sports, ensuring students receive structured, proven instruction, not just tips from a strong player.

Whether you are picking up a cue for the first time or preparing to compete, Farhan’s coaching is built entirely around your goals. His training blends strong fundamentals with modern technology to create a personalized development path that helps you improve faster, smarter, and with lasting results.

Please join us in congratulating Waleed Hashem for capturing the title at the Predator Ontario Pro/Am Tour #3 after a demanding 2-Day event.

Waleed was in absolute high gear all weekend, battling through a stacked field of 70 of the top players from Ontario and Quebec. He stayed sharp, composed, and fought through a very tough bracket to earn the win. He shared that his match against veteran Jason Klatt was one of the best performances of his career yet.
