The reality of night-time barn checks. Walking to the barn in the pouring rain at 2am only to find everyone sleeping peacefully and no one lambing at all - regardless of what they looked like at 11.

This weekend join our friends for the Hamilton Fibre Market. Taking place on Sunday at the there are plenty of fibre farms, indie dyers, tool and notion creators and yarn adjacent craftspeople to visit. Support your local fibre folks and grab a baked goodie from Shannon’s Bakeshop while you are at it.

If you didn’t get a chance to grab a Tshirt at drop by to get yours (in support of Landmade!).

I had to take a few days to catch up on things after the wonderful weekend we had at Landmade.

We were just the beginning of the season for finding and supporting your local fibre farmers.

hosts The Hamilton Fibre Market on March 22 at - you can find not only lovely locally grown fibre but there are plenty of indie dyers and tool/notions makers.

It’s worth visiting Hamilton for- there are plenty of smaller and emerging fibre businesses at this market as well as some of well-known favourites.

Landmade is wrapped and once again we couldn’t have fit one more bag in the vehicle if we tried. Thanks to and Linda (who we’ll get on IG at guild on Tuesday night!) for being such good sports and riding home totally squished.
Loved spending the 2 days with you (+ + + +. .blake._ ). Thanks for being Team Landmade with me.

This group of ladies also made the weekend possible. They unloaded cars and loaded them back up again, skirted wool, sold t-shirts, sold fibre for absent farmers, talked to everyone and then cleaned it all up. A heartfelt thanks to (and of course Mr. Jenny) (and Carpenter Andrew) Jenevieve and Linda - I appreciated you every minute.

We value the work that the and do for the Ontario fibre community and I hope you got a chance to check out their booths to see what they are all about. Think about getting involved with them if you are interested in supporting your local wool gang!
