But the City portion shows 0% increase 🤔
So why are homeowners still paying more?
Here’s what many people don’t understand 👇
Your property tax bill includes:
• City of Brampton portion
• Region of Peel portion
• School board portion
• Special levies (like hospital funding)
Even if the City says 0% increase,
other portions can still raise your total bill.
Now the big question…
With municipal elections coming in October 2026,
is this a budgeting strategy — or just timing?
