Our Iconic Space is Back!
In celebration of our two decades of presence at York University’s Keele Campus we are bringing back for the month of November a space that allowed LOGOS to be known as a community that fostered healthy faith-based dialogue and discussion among students and alumni.
THEOLOGY OVER PIZZA is an open forum created for engaging with diverse ideas and exploring how they have an effect in society and our personal lives. Each week we will choose an idea/topic related to faith, religion, popular culture, and society, and engage it in a communal circle of learning. Come to explore, question, and learn from one another as we eat pizza together!
This is an space open to students, alumni, friends of LOGOS and the whole community of York University

This year we celebrate over two decades of journeying alongside countless students, fostering faith, building community, and helping in the transformation of people's life on campus. We've shared countless moments of joy, faith, and support—creating connections that last a lifetime.
To every student, volunteer, and partner who's been part of this incredible journey—thank you! Your friendship, dedication, and support have made a lasting impact. As we look to the future, we’re excited to continue our mission of creating spaces of communal learning that create vibrant and impactful expressions of God's work in our campus and our city.

We had our end-of-school year gathering this week and we were able to celebrate with those graduating this term and with those who continue their journey of education. We are grateful and deeply encouraged for the sense of friendship and community that emerged in Logos this school year despite the difficulties surrounding the university.
Thank you for being part of the Logos community and for allowing us to grow and learn together.
Stay tuned for upcoming events and gatherings.

Sharing one’s faith is a core practice among many religions.Yet, today, a number of factors are curbing many young people’s enthusiasm for faith-sharing, including the decline of religion in North America, an understanding of the harmful effects of colonialism, a spreading apathy toward spiritual matters and a growing cultural suspicion of people of faith.
Proselytizing can mean different things to different people, but isn’t any attempt to persuade someone of anything proselytizing anyway? How do we reconcile some people’s idea that it is their duty to convert others to their religion while recognizing the harmful effects this practice has created throughout history?

At LOGOS we continue exploring the concept of community through a lens of sacred presence and shared experiences. We want to foster a space of communal learning and spiritual growth where students share their experiences and challenge their perspectives.
We are grateful for the connections we make every week with the community of York University. Stay tuned for upcoming discussions and gatherings.

Some people believe that without faith in God, we would have no durable reasons to treat one another well. Others claim that whereas people who believe in God are concerned about obeying religious commands that will get them into a heavenly afterlife, agnostics are able to apply all their energies to making this world a better place. How do we make sense of this? Where do we get our sense of “right and wrong” from?

Data from the Angus Reid Institute and Faith in Canada suggests that faith plays an important role in the way most Canadians see themselves and respond to challenges in their lives. However, the latest Canadian Census showed that Canadians are losing their connection with religious institutions at an unprecedented rate, with more than a third of the country reporting no religious affiliation at all. With that in mind, and with a world with many problems today, is religion still relevant in our society?

NEW WINTER SERIES:
We’ve all heard that God is in details. In the details of ideas and concepts we encounter every day. But what does this mean for our daily lives? Making Room is a new space created for engaging with these ideas and exploring how they have an effect in society and our personal lives. Each week we will choose one idea/topic related to faith, religion, popular culture, and society, and engage it in a communal circle of learning. This is a space where students can explore, question, and learn from one another as we attempt to make room for new ideas and for one another.
