The 3 stage repair process is as follows:
1️⃣ Assess cracks in swirl pattern and match appropriate plaster texture tool to match the existing swirl pattern.

2️⃣ Mix plaster and expertly apply it to match the existing swirl pattern while blending edges. Work quickly to ensure the plaster mix doesn't dry too fast!

3️⃣ Knock down any edges then prime and paint!

Is Farrow & Ball Dead Flat finish durable?

Court-Hampton Painting had a customer that wanted to colour drench her Toronto condo in Farrow and Ball Dead Flat in the colour Pointing.
She wanted Dead Flat on the ceilings, walls, doors, frames and baseboards.

We always test this type of thing if we don't have our own data to draw from. We got to work and bought a quart of Dead Flat in the desired colour and applied it to some trim.

We then took a hammer and rubbed the handle of it across the painted surface! It left a black streak.

Moment of truth we took a very slightly damp microfiber white rag and it came right off!

We were impressed! Is it as durable as Farrow & Balls Flat Eggshell finish which is a traditional satin finish? Probably not. But it depends how much abuse your condo in the city is going to take!

The customer went ahead with colour drenching her whole Toronto condo in Farrow And Ball Pointing in Dead Flat and we have to admit it creates a continuity between substrates that is un paralleled. More pics of that to come!
