World Rugs Company invites the artists and designers to work on improving and enhancing the motifs and colours of Persian Rugs and share their ideas and designs with us. The ten best designs will receive valuable prizes.
Remember, simplicity, harmony, softness of colours, and overall patterns are the keys. Avoid sharp colours and medallions in your designs as much as possible. They do not fit much of today's interior architectures and designs.

The zenith of Art and Craft combined is best defined in the Masterpieces of Persian Rug Weavers! Their well composed colourful and profoundly intricate creations of Organically Dyed Pure Silk, Wool, Cotton, and occasionally Gold and Silver threads knot by knot, nurtured by love, passion,sweat, and devotions transcend any other forms of art or craft.

This five thousand year old skill has been kept alive and continually perfected to a point which is not only considered a precious World Heritage, but, after Cyrus The Great, the most prominent source of pride for all Persians worldwide.

This is the only Everlasting form of Art which can be used, abused, walk on, run on, dance on, drive on, and washed repeatedly over and over! Yet, the older it gets and the more it is used, abused, walked on, danced on, and washed - the better and more precious it gets, until it finds it rightful resting place which is a great museum.
