Last week our founder + 4 of our amazing tutors ran an interactive workshop with 60 Grade 6 Havergal College students and it was A M A Z I N G!
We explored how the media gives math a bad rep and how media messages get in our heads and often make us feel like we’re not “math people” 😞 And then guess what we did?!👇
We spent the afternoon giving all those messages a major ✨GLOW UP✨!!!
It was SO inspiring to see what’s possible when we step into our power and rewrite outdated narratives that we’re no longer down to just “accept.” Forever inspired by this group of girls who are saying 🙅♀️ to ick stereotypes and 👍 to forging an empowered path forward!
So grateful to Havergal for having us + for the reminder that we all have the power to change our relationship with math at any moment, and that our math is a gateway to collective change far beyond the classroom. It’s never too late to write a new story💖✨
