TorIX
The Toronto Internet Exchange (TorIX) is one of the largest Internet Exchange Points (IXP) in North America, and the largest in Canada.
The TorIX is an entity designed to act as a junction between multiple points of Internet presence. Here, members are able to directly connect with one another in order to exchange local Internet traffic. The TorIX owns and operates the switching platforms used to interconnect the various members. It took 3158 days to jump from 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps, 1079 days to jump from 100 Gbps to 200 Gbps, and 331 days to achieve the next milestone of 300 Gbps... how long until 400 Gbps?
