“If it makes you happy, let it be enough” doesn’t mean stop growing 🌗
It means stop postponing your happiness until the next promotion, the bigger house, the perfect body, or the next milestone. You can absolutely strive for more while also appreciating where you are today.
As humans, we often struggle with this for two reasons:
1. Our brains quickly adapt to what we have. What once felt exciting becomes normal, and the finish line quietly moves farther away. Psychologists call this the “hedonic treadmill.”
2. We learn to measure our worth through achievement. Many of us were praised more for what we accomplished than for simply being ourselves, so “more” starts to feel like the only place we’ll finally be enough.
A practice that helps: pause before chasing the next thing and ask yourself, “If nothing changed for six months, what in my life would already be worth appreciating?”
Contentment and ambition can exist together. Gratitude doesn’t kill motivation, it keeps your goals from becoming the only place you believe happiness lives 🌗

Normalize a “good enough” summer ☀️🍉🎈🍒💛
Some adventures. Some lazy days. Some screen time. Some muddy feet. Some memories you’ll treasure, and some days you’ll simply survive.
Some days you’ll say yes to another popsicle. Some days you’ll need five minutes to yourself. Some days the house will be a mess, dinner will be simple, and everyone will still end the day feeling loved.
Our kids don’t need a perfectly planned summer filled with expensive trips and constant entertainment. They need to feel safe, seen, and connected. They need parents who laugh with them, rest with them, and show up as themselves ✨
Being present will always matter more than being perfect. Because years from now, they probably won’t remember whether you did enough. They’ll remember how it felt to be with you.

My favorite roles are mom, wife, sister, friend & therapist.

One of my favorite parts of motherhood is walking downstairs after the kids are in bed and finding little scenes like this 🥹
No one asked them to do it. No one told them how. They just imagined a tiny art gallery, complete with visitors. Reminds me that childhood is happening in the moments we don’t always see. Their imaginations are busy building entire worlds while we’re making dinner, folding laundry, or answering emails.
These little scenes are a reminder to slow down and notice. One day they’ll stop appearing, but for now, they feel like tiny love notes left behind by my babies childhood ✨

The best part of the day isn’t always the busiest part. Sometimes it’s just sitting still long enough to notice it 🌅💛✨
A good view.
A quiet mind.
Nowhere I need to be.
That’s enough.

Lately I’ve found myself spending more time in the garden 🪴
Not planting something new. Not chasing the next thing. Just tending to what I already have.
Watering. Pruning. Paying attention.
There was a time when so much of my energy went into reaching for what was next. The bigger goal. The next milestone. The thing I thought would finally make me feel settled.
But lately, I’ve been learning how to live here.
We’ve lived in this house for six years, and this tree has never bloomed quite like she has this year. Bigger. Louder. More unapologetic than ever.
Maybe it’s the season.
Or maybe things bloom differently when they’ve been given a little more time, attention, and love.
I think there might be a lesson in that 🌸

At 41, I stopped waiting for life to feel easier.
The kids didn’t suddenly become less demanding.
Work didn’t magically slow down.
The worries didn’t disappear.
But somewhere along the way, you realize you’re putting your life on hold until everything felt manageable.
Turns out, life isn’t something that starts after the hard season. This is the season. And there’s still joy to be had here ✌🏼
A lot of healing happens in ordinary moments ✨
The walk.
The workout.
The coffee.
The boundaries.
The peace.
Nothing dramatic. Just choosing yourself over and over.

Outdoor running is a different kind of beast…
Less fitness girl aesthetic & more why am I negotiating with myself 2km in? 😭🏃🏻♀️😮💨🙏🏼🔥☀️🌷

After chronic stress, your body may need more rest than usual as your nervous system recalibrates. The goal isn’t to stay there, but to gradually rebuild energy, capacity, and engagement without tipping back into overwhelm.
Sometimes what looks like ‘laziness’ is your nervous system finally feeling safe enough to slow down.
But healing isn’t just rest — it’s learning how to come back online without burning out again 🌗
