It seems as if we've been working on the alphabet puzzles for yearsss, (which is somewhat true), but they are finally ready! We're very excited for your little ones to get your hands on them 🧩

To be honest, the puzzles have been ready for a little while now but with the current genocide taking place in Gaza, it didn't feel right to launch. We want to make it clear that we are in solidarity with our Palestinian brothers and sisters and we will continue to pray for their safety and protection always 🍉 🇵🇸

Flashback to May, 2020. Our son Adam was almost two years old and we really wanted to introduce Bangla to him. We couldn't find appropriate teaching & learning resources so I took it upon myself to create something of my own!

Pictured here is what would become the *prototype* of our first product! 👀 I designed and 3D printed this Bangla numeral puzzle for Adam and it was a great hit!

We realized that there are many other intercultural families like us around the world who would also appreciate teaching resources that catered to them, so we took the initiative to take this another step further. We started planning and brainstorming how we could improve this puzzle to be the best fit for little ones and their parents.

Where have we been? Long story short- we had full intentions of launching Bangla Baby last year right before Ramadan but unfortunately we came across many obstacles due to COVID-19, moving from USA to Canada, and other unforseen circumstances and therefore we had to push back our launch. We didn't expect it to last this long but alhamdulillah, it was a blessing in disguise 😊

My husband & I have been working on something since last year and we thought it would be perfect to announce today since today is International Mother Language Day! 😊

Being a Guyanese-Canadian married to a Bangladeshi, I started learning Bangla. After having our son two years ago and raising him in North America, it became challenging to teach him Bangla as there were hardly any resources available. We tried looking for educational books and toys to teach our little one but couldn't find any that catered to non-Bengali speakers.

We took it upon ourselves to create our own educational toys and learning material for our son.

We realized that there are many other intercultural families like us around the world, so we took the initiative to make this available for everyone. And that's how Bangla Baby was born! 🎉
