I think it's so easy to fall into that trap of the Tiger Mom or Helicopter Parent, especially when it seems like "everyone is doing it". It's amazing though how we all talk about finding that "happy medium" but what does that actually look like on calendar. Any opinions, moms?

When deciding schools for our precious little ones...the debate always arises - IB or AP?? The difference in academic rigour might not be as great as we think anymore. According to this recent article, The College Board (owner of the AP program) is implementing a pilot program linking AP with The University of Cambridge International Examinations to offer a thesis-like area of study that directly rivals what IB has been offering. Not only does this bring AP more in line with IB's extensive written component, but this partnership would bode well for students applying to schools internationally.
Admissions 101: AP takes step toward International Baccalaureate-like credential Will this help our schools and the college preparation process?
