one of the best coffees we’ve had in toronto 🤍
hatch is a roastery, a lab, and a cafe — all in one space in markham.
you can watch them roast, smell the beans being weighed,
sit with a quiet pour-over and a moment to yourself.
we’ll be back. probably often.

new here? we’re so glad you stopped by 🤍
a family of three in Toronto, raising our girl Ellie (March 2024) and welcoming baby no.2 this October.
we travel slow. Japan, mostly — Nagano, Nara, places that ask us to breathe. sometimes Toronto cafes, weekend walks, or wherever the day takes us.
what we share here isn’t tips or itineraries. it’s the texture of our days. a toddler teaching us to be in the moment, and our small attempt to honor that.
stay if it resonates 💗

I almost forgot this was Toronto 🌸
A quiet corner at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre,
where wooden beams, soft light, and sakura come together so effortlessly
For a moment, it felt like a quiet spring day somewhere in Japan

2025 travel recap ✨
What a year it’s been — traveling the world with our 1-year-old and collecting memories beyond words 🧡
📍 8 countries · 21 cities
🗓️ 117 days on the road
🚢 13 nights on cruise ships
🇯🇵 One magical month in Japan — our favorite destination, always
City walks through Tokyo, cultural moments in Kyoto, the cutest deer in Nara 🦌, breathtaking nature in Nagano, and the best of the best Kobe beef in Kobe 🥩
Hidden gems like Kanazawa and Shirakawa-go felt even more special experiencing them with our little one.
Japan holds our hearts — and experiencing it as a family made it unforgettable 💛
🇨🇦 Two slow, beautiful months in Montreal — the city I lived in for 7 years.
Returning as a traveler felt different… familiar yet new, with endless cafés, food, and stories waiting to be rediscovered ☕🥐
🌴 Escaping the Canadian winter to the Caribbean — warm breezes, sun-kissed days, and a much-needed reset
And yes — there were cries, meltdowns, and really hard moments on the road.
Facing them is extremely difficult, especially when we weren’t in the best mood either.
We’re learning, experimenting, and constantly adapting to our fast-growing little human.
But then…
Her giggles.
The funny faces she makes when tasting new foods.
Tiny hands reaching out to animals.
Friendly strangers stopping to smile or chat with her.
The spark in her eyes.
Her babbling in what sounds like a brand-new language.
All the different terrains she crawled on, explored, and conquered.
And suddenly — it all feels worth it.
We’re so glad to be here. Just being.
We don’t travel with a strict schedule.
We wake up, enjoy a wonderful breakfast, and decide where to go next.
She sleeps anytime, anywhere.
Some days are filled with her favorite things — monkeys, animals, excitement.
Other days are completely blank — just slow strolls through a mall.
This year wasn’t about rushing or checking boxes.
It was about slowing down, following her pace, and finding joy in the smallest moments — together 🤍

Port day in Puerto Plata and we didn’t even leave the port… and honestly, we didn’t need to! 🚢🌴
On a hot Caribbean day, we kept it easy and explored everything right inside the Celebrity Apex port — and wow, there’s so much to see ✨
The highlight? A mini version of Monkey Island right at the port 🐒
Squirrel monkeys climbing on us, jumping around, and being absolutely adorable — such a fun and unexpected experience! 😂💛
Sometimes the best travel days are the simple ones.
Cherishing every moment with our little family as we explore the world together 🌎❤️

Sometimes the best Disney days… are the rest days ✨
We took a break from the parks and spent a slow, cozy day at Disney Springs — carousel rides, Christmas decor, sweet treats, and a little shopping magic 🎠🎄🍰
No rushing, no lines… just chilling, wandering, and soaking in every moment with our precious girl ❤️
The perfect fall day trip for Disney families (and snowbird escapes 😅☀️)

Walking the ancient path to Togakushi-Jinja ✨
Centuries-old cedar trees towering above us, soft mountain air, and the serenity of this sacred shrine — it feels like stepping into another world. 💚
Traveling with our little one makes these journeys even more meaningful. One day she’ll see these photos and know she was part of something magical. 👶💕
Would you wander this path of giants? 🌿

🏔️✨ Postcard-perfect Shirakawa-go ✨🏔️
This village feels like stepping into a fairytale — traditional gassho-style houses, lush green mountains, and the most peaceful vibes. It’s one of those views you never forget 💚
👶 Traveling with our little one makes moments like these even more magical — she may not remember it yet, but we will cherish it forever.
Would you add Shirakawa-go to your Japan bucket list? 🏡

🌿 Kyoto summer magic in yukata 👘✨
A mommy–daughter day at Nanzen-ji — a quiet gem with stunning gardens and unreal greenery. Sharing this peaceful Kyoto moment with my little travel buddy made it even more special 💕
👶 Traveling with a 1-year-old is a whole new adventure, but we’re cherishing every second. Kyoto, you’ll always have our hearts.
