There was a time when little voices helped me count the candles and tiny lungs leaned in to help blow them out. Birthdays were loud, joyful, and full of sweet chaos.

This year I still had help blowing out the candles, only now she towers over me. Life has a funny way of reminding you how quickly the years pass.
