Public service announcement

ETA: OKAY. So here is the thing. Cosleeping can be a couple of things: either sleeping in bed with parents or room sharing. No where did I say you HAVE to sleep with your baby in bed. I do think it’s silly to expect your baby to be so far away from you when all of us want the comfort of another person. Being in the same room and near your baby while they sleep is EXTREMELY healthy and has so many benefits if done correctly. You’re right.

The point is you need to know who you are, what your boundaries are, and what’s best for your family. The only point this post is trying to make is that it’s ridiculous to put down parents who choose to be close to their babies during sleep time because it actually makes great sense.

DO WHAT IS BEST FOR YOUR FAMILY AND BABY.

Start your morning with a glass of warm water and lemon to get the body going.
Walk around / exercise / stretch to enhance mobility.
Meditate to align with your highest and most radiant self - don’t worry if you can’t focus or hold your attention - just the practice of meditation sets an intention to connect with your purest form
Journal right after your meditation to help you release whatever distortions you noticed during the meditation. The more you become aware of, the more you are able to consciously release.
Set your intention (s) for the day, write your to do list or plan for the day.
Start your day!
Take breaks during the day to become conscious of how you are feeling.

As a note, whenever I am able to tune into my body and shut the mind off, I feel a lot calmer and able to handle the heaviness that comes up during the day. The key is to notice when you are not being in your body. For example, if you are in pain, ask yourself “What is this pain trying to tell me”, or if you had a difficult conversation with a colleague, ask yourself “What did I notice about myself before, during and after the conversation”. Putting yourself on the spot will help you bring the focus back into your being.
… Creating a connection with your higher being that you had probably not experienced before.

What I learned in 2020 was that by resisting the “what is” I was only creating resistance / pain in my life - emotional or physical or energetic. That way of living did not serve me one bit.
By accepting what is (first) and then planning my next action (second), I am better able to handle various life situations that aren’t ideal for me.
My life is not my life situations - simply knowing that gave me the confidence to accept the way things are and then take confident surrendered action.
Breathing is a tool I use often to become more present within my body.
That helps me really observe my emotions, what’s around me and within me.
And that makes the accepting bit a lot easier.
When I learn to accept what it - that action raises my vibration and also shifts where I am. Then it’s profoundly simple to come up with solutions / next steps.
I am going to be trying to spend my days this way - lots of opportunities with kids being home during another lockdown, people expressing volcanic amounts of fear over viruses, vaccines and what not.
Time for more growth. So much more. Remember, low lows give us the opportunity bring about high highs.

2020 was a very scary year for many. In those scary moments I always knew that I had close to no control over what happens in my external reality. The only thing I had control over was the moment that is now. So I made a choice how I wanted “now” to feel like.
There were times when “now” didn’t feel very good ... and that was okay. I would still willingly feel it. And then let it go.
And there were moments when “now” would feel incredibly exciting. I would also feel that. And let that go.
I learnt in 2020 not to hold onto anything that was past. At least consciously. With that intention for 2021 I let go of experiences and feeling responses that do not serve my highest good and feel the now. However “now” shows up.

The last couple of days have been quite emotionally taxing with so much detox happening at the spirit level. Don’t even get me started on physical detox.
Recognizing and releasing the programming that has been holding me back from living in abundance has been a life changer for me ! I am far from done but I am so much closer to where I want to be.
This journey started after I got sick about 5 years ago. I was desperate to find a solution to my sickness because doctors had given up and something told me that I had to keep looking. And then three years ago I decided to do some serious healing work. I had nothing to lose at this point. I was already bed ridden half the time.
Every time I wanted to give up because healing is bloody hard and emotionally and physically chaotic, I was reminded of why I started.
I had come to realize ( at some point in my healing journey ) that nothing outside of me gave me true happiness. Momentary joy perhaps. But not life sustaining, bubbly happiness. And that’s when I got really serious about healing myself.
Sure money can make your life comfortable. Lots of friends can give you a sense of security. Food can fill that gap you want to ignore. But true happiness is within. When you find true happiness, you don’t need friends to make you feel good about yourself. Because you already have that. You also don’t need to stuff your face. Because miraculously your body tells you what it needs. You don’t need to shop all the time because you just need less.
I still like to shop and hang out with friends but I do not do those things from a sense of lack or fear. I do it because it helps me learn more about myself and the world.
2020 has been fantastic for me because I used the downtime to heal more and learn more.
I know that there is still so much to discover and that’s why I am excited about 2021.
Happiness was always an inside job. And still is.

The highest feeling there is. Without love for the self, humanity, animals and all that is the product of the one creator, we are nothing.
The question most have is “how do I find love” ? In spite of all the love stories we have heard or read about, true love evades us. And that is why there is so much judgement and criticism.
Love exists within you. For some people, it’s easy to access and for others it’s hard work.
Getting married, finding a life partner, receiving gifts, having babies, adopting puppies and saving the abused is sometimes not enough to find love.
The answer is to find yourself and the love will just appear.
When you are less angry, less triggered, less emotionally up and down - you are getting close.
And then you’ll feel flashes of love in your meditations, while looking at your kids and even your spouse ;)
It’s there. Keep working at it.
True love exists within you. When you uncover it’s power, you will begin to love others, regardless of what they have done to you, because you will see them as a part of you.

Finding myself and trusting myself as my best friend was a long journey for me. A journey of finding what was broken ( there’s more lol ) and healing it and letting it go. Looking for love and support outside of myself left me feeling in lack always. That’s because no one outside of me was meant to complete me. The answer has always been me. It’s been a very tough road to claiming (rather re-claiming) my presence in this world but it’s been so worth it. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Not being reliant on anyone else to feel loved and complete creates inner power that no one can take away. It’s mine to relish and enjoy.
It doesn’t matter anymore if I am in pain, sick or struggling - I can provide love and compassion from within to heal. Having people around me to support me is a blessing - not a necessity.

This is so important to understand. Life is too precious to move according to another’s command. Be it relationships, work, health or anything else - you get to decide when you are ready to move on.
You decide when to stop listening to that voice in your head.
You decide when it’s time to let go of someone that doesn’t really care.
You decide when to change careers or take a break or start work again.
You decide how your life will turn out. And you can start now. Because that’s empowerment - the feeling of power to make decisions - without anyone else’s approval or guidance.
You are your own mentor. And the decision to be done with a place or person or situation is completely yours.

After having my first child and realizing how difficult good parenting was, I made it my life’s mission to raise my kids in a way that would empower them to become their truest and most radiant selves in the future. Big goals for a first time mom for sure but without this goal I would have still been struggling.
It took me many many years to figure out how to parent both my kids differently. My style of parenting doesn’t take away from my own reserves either. It makes me a better person for myself and the world.
And each day I keep changing my style based on what my kids are going through. They are emotional and spiritual beings in little people bodies and they have emotional, mental, physical and spiritual needs every single day.
To hold space for them to experience life the way they are meant to ... means to let go of any “expectations” of what parenting or childhood is supposed to be like.
I always remember that they ( my kids ) are from me but not for me. They are here to fulfil their purpose and goals and experience life in a unique way. And my role as their mother is to empower them to do so.

From my personal experience, it’s so difficult to let go of what does not serve our well being anymore. It’s really hard to break habits. Because to break habits you not only have to change behaviours and thought patterns but also the underlying beliefs and frequencies that you imbibe.
And when you don’t even understand your own behaviours, thoughts, beliefs, frequencies etc..... the task becomes impossible.
That is why developing a sense of self mastery and a practice of self awareness is essential to any personal change you might want to experience
You cannot have true change without self mastery.
