Recently, our very own Julien Laferrière was out west as the playback engineer for Canadian legends Marianas Trench for their Calgary Stampede show! 🎚🤩 Julien is a playback and monitor engineer and whenever you're at The Root Down you can always count on him to answer questions and help you tighten up your playback mixes!
🎤 It's so great to know that more live music is [hopefully] around the corner... 🥰 come on in and get back to rehearsing with us, we're glad to be filling The Root Down with music again 👋

👋Hello Root Down family!
Now that Ontario is open in step 2 of the reopening plan we wanted to let you know that The Root Down is officially open for rehearsals, recording, live-streaming and video content creation! 🎉💚😄 We are so thrilled and excited to be taking bookings and are so excited for you all to come back to The Root Down with your wonderful music and great vibes after such a long hiatus. :)

Over the last few years we've had the honour of having BAD CHILD rehearse and work out of The Root Down fairly regularly. It's been so exciting to watch such an incredible artistic voice flourish and grow, and we're so thrilled that his debut full-length album "Free Trial" is out in just 3 days! Congrats BAD CHILD and everyone involved.. as you can see from this video, so much care and thought has gone into the release. Throwback to a year ago when Omar and Mike were tracking guitars with us...
