The gears are turning.
The engine is purring.
The tail is twitching.
And Lady GearHeart reports that the prescribed cookies have been remarkably effective. 🍪✨

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who sent well wishes, encouragement, and mechanical healing magic. Your support appears to have accelerated the recovery by at least three-and-a-half sprockets.

🚨 A Tiny Update from the Workshop… 🚨

It seems our faithful ROUS is feeling a little under the weather today and has been whisked away to the finest Underhood Doctor for a thorough tune-up. 🐭🔧❤️

The cogs are being polished, the gears are being coaxed, and we’re hopeful our magnificent mechanical beast will be back to pulling dreams very soon.

Lady GearHeart has already prescribed extra oil, three encouraging pats on the bonnet, and at least two cookies. (The doctor only approved one.)

Thank you for your patience while we get our beloved companion back into tip-top shape. We’ll keep you posted as soon as the gears are turning once again!

✨ Send ROUS your best well wishes in the comments—I’m told they’re highly effective medicine. ✨

Last night, a stranger carrying a giant dragon wandered over…

…and somehow it made perfect sense. 🐉⚙️🐭

That’s the magic of The SteamPunkin.

Unexpected encounters.
Unexpected conversations.
Unexpected friendships.

No script.
No plan.

Just wonderful little moments that remind us the world is still full of imagination.

If you see us on the waterfront, don’t just wave…

Come join the adventure. 💛

You simply can’t make this stuff up…

Last night on Toronto’s waterfront, a complete stranger wandered by carrying a giant dragon tail kite.

Naturally…

ROUS approved.

The dragon joined The SteamPunkin.

Photos were taken.

Laughter was shared.

New friends were made.

And for a few unexpected moments, Marilyn Bell Park became just a little more magical.

That’s what we love most about bringing The SteamPunkin to the waterfront.

No script.

No plan.

Just spontaneous moments of curiosity, creativity, and connection between complete strangers.

Some evenings it’s a dragon.

Some evenings it’s music.

Some evenings it’s a family discovering us for the very first time.

Every evening becomes a story.

If you happen to spot us, don’t just walk by…

Come say hello.

You never know what adventure might be waiting around the corner.

We hear this question a lot...
"What IS that thing?"
The short answer?
A giant rat pulling a fairytale carriage along Toronto's waterfront.
The longer answer?
The SteamPunkin is a one-of-a-kind mobile art experience that blends steampunk imagination, interactive storytelling, whimsical characters, and a healthy dose of absurdity into something that simply has to be experienced in person.
Some people call it a carriage.
Some call it a moving art installation.
Some call it a fever dream.
Honestly, they're all correct.

Over the coming weeks you'll find us exploring the waterfront, creating unexpected moments of wonder, offering rides, telling stories, and proving that adults need imagination just as much as children do.
And yes...
The rat has a name.
His name is ROUS.
(If you know, you know.)

✨ THE STORY NEEDS MORE CHARACTERS... ✨

This summer, The SteamPunkin will once again roll along Toronto's waterfront, carrying guests into a world of wonder, imagination, and unexpected adventures.

But every great story needs its characters.

We're looking for creative souls who would love to become part of the experience—whether as a whimsical storyteller, a curious inventor, a mischievous fairy, a wandering musician, an improv performer, or a character entirely of your own creation.

Our waterfront activations blend performance, audience interaction, storytelling, photo opportunities, and pure imagination. No two days are quite the same, and neither are the people who help bring the magic to life.

We're currently seeking:

🎭 Improv Performers
🎩 Character Actors
🧚 Fantasy & Fairytale Characters
📖 Storytellers
🎶 Musicians
🎪 Buskers & Interactive Entertainers
✨ Creative Humans Who Love Making People Smile

Whether you're an experienced performer or simply someone with a unique talent and a love for creating memorable moments, we'd love to hear from you.

The SteamPunkin is more than a carriage.

It's a conversation starter.
A photo opportunity.
A moving piece of art.
A stage.
A storybook.

And we're always looking for wonderful people to help write the next chapter.

📩 Send us a DM and tell us a little about yourself, your character, your performance style, or the magic you'd like to bring to the waterfront.

Because the story isn't complete yet...

—and perhaps you're exactly the character it's missing.
