The biggest weight loss mistake women over 40 make?
Counting calories while completely ignoring their gut health.
I know this may sound controversial but hear me out...
If weight loss was only about calories-in vs. calories-out, then every woman eating 1,200 calories a day would be thriving.
They’re not. 🤷🏻♀️
Instead, I hear things like:
❌ “I’m eating less than ever.”
❌ “I can’t stop craving sugar.”
❌ “I gain weight just looking at carbs.”

Breakfast changed my hormones, energy, and metabolism more than I ever expected.
In my 20s and early 30s, breakfast was usually coffee, tea… or nothing at all.
I thought I was being “healthy.” I was busy, trying to manage my weight, and believed the calories-in/calories-out message so many women hear.
But by 34, my body was waving serious red flags:
fatigue
hair loss
bloating
mood swings
night sweats
weight gain
low thyroid function
early perimenopausal symptoms
One of the biggest shifts in my healing journey was learning to nourish my body consistently — especially in the morning.
My breakfast today is simple:
2–3 eggs
avocado + veggies

Hi, I’m Daphne — I see many new faces so it’s time to re-introduce myself…❤️
I’m 45, I help women 40-60 balance hormones, reignite their metabolism naturally, reverse weight gain and live without (peri)menopausal symptoms.
As a mom, who knows great habits happen by example, I have helped many moms who want to lead by example and practice a beautiful connection with food and a healthy lifestyle in front of their growing kids. That’s where my healing journey truly started for me- looking fur sustainable nutrition habits for me I can model in front of my daughter.
In my mid 30’s I experienced early perimenopausal symptoms — fatigue, bloated belly, weight gain, skipped periods, mood swings, no energy, anxiety, night sweats.
In my 20’s I was a Ford model - I didn’t know how to eat properly and practiced “eat less and exercise more” approach. I was always on a diet, over-exercised, and ignored my body’s signals. I kept believing my metabolism was “broken” throughout my 20’s.

Dieting contributed to HA, slow thyroid, losing nearly 1/2 of my hair, weight gain, anxiety, exhaustion, nutrient deficiencies + eventually an eating disorder.
I went to school to study holistic nutrition. I graduated with honours and kept learning and applying on myself.
I restored my metabolism and reversed EVERY symptom (yes, including the hair loss and slow metabolism).
