The advice you got from the cousin who "did it himself"
nearly cost you everything.
Not because he lied, because his case was his and yours is yours.
Immigration doesn't reward the brave or the cheap.
It rewards the accurate.
One wrong box undoes a year of hope.

IRCC now processes study permit extensions in 60 days when you switch to a new post-secondary DLI, but only if you follow the right steps when applying. You'll need to flag your school change online, include a new PAL/TAL, and apply before you finish at your current school.

It's a number we're incredibly grateful for, but more importantly, it's a reminder of the community that has grown alongside us.
When TDOT Immigration was founded, the goal was never simply to build an immigration firm.
It was to create a place where people could find guidance they could trust.
Our Founder and CEO, Shafoli Kapur, understood that immigration is never just about forms, deadlines, or applications. Behind every case is a person making one of the biggest decisions of their life. A family planning their future. A student pursuing new opportunities. A professional taking a chance on a new beginning.
As a licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant authorized by CICC and authorized to represent clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, Shafoli built TDOT Immigration on a simple principle: people deserve honest advice, clear communication, and support they can rely on.
That belief continues to guide everything we do today.
Over the years, we've celebrated approvals, supported clients through challenges, answered thousands of questions, and built relationships with people from around the world who trust us to help them better understand Canada's immigration system.
To everyone who follows our journey, engages with our content, shares our posts, recommends us to friends and family, or trusts us with their immigration goals—thank you.
Your support is the reason this community continues to grow.
As immigration policies evolve and new pathways emerge, our commitment remains the same:
✔ Sharing accurate information
✔ Providing honest guidance
✔ Serving with integrity
✔ Putting people first
Thank you for being part of the TDOT Immigration journey.

Canada's largest union just issued a warning and it's one every Canadian should hear.
CUPE (Canadian Union of Public Employees), representing over 800,000 workers across the country, says immigrants and migrant workers are not a burden on public services. They are the public services.
They staff our hospitals. They run our childcare centres. They keep our cities functioning every single day.
CUPE's warning is clear: immigration cuts don't protect these systems, they strain them further. Sectors already facing critical staffing shortages will feel it first. And so will the Canadians who depend on them.
