TMU Global Talks is a weekly podcast where we’ll be hosting various mentors and leaders who want to share their experience studying abroad and impart the knowledge they’ve gained along the way.

We’ll kick off the series Friday, speaking with Amy Peng, the Interim Dean of the Faculty of Arts at TMU, who came to Canada from Beijing, China to study economics at the University of Guelph.

(1) Communications and Digital Content Specialist ($19 per hour, 35 hrs/week)

* Supporting the development of a consistent creative look and feel for TMU’s Global Learning Instagram page, preparing graphic templates and content for the upcoming academic year.
* Drafting content and creating graphics for social media posts
* Drafting social media calendar for 24/25 academic year
* Developing ideas for promotional campaigns and student outreach.

(2) Events and Logistics Assistant ($18 per hour, 12 hrs/week)

* Strong planning and event ex*****on skills are a priority. Strong people and leadership skills are valuable (adaptability, ensuring participants well-being, comfortable leading groups and interacting with diverse visitors) strong understanding of values of equity, diversity and inclusion (important to incorporate into event planning, inform community engagement, etc).
* Excellent data management skills relating to the tracking and updating of key information in a variety of platforms (excel and external databases).
* Experience managing sensitive information.
* Thorough and consistent attention to detail is fundamental to all tasks.
* Time management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks.
