Toronto, Canada - As anticipation builds toward the forthcoming Dope DnB Album, Yard Recordings unleashes PLUG 4 — The Pink Rockstar EP — a six-track growling stomper from two of Canada’s elite underground mic-men and certified dancefloor destroyers, Calgary’s own Maponus & Rubix.

Heavyweight from the first beat to the last, The Pink Rockstar EP showcases the raw production chemistry between Maponus and Rubix, delivering a cross-spectrum Drum & Bass release built for proper sound systems, dark warehouses, late-night rollers, and relentless bass pressure.

Leading the charge is Maponus’ “11:30 Til Dawn”, a funky tech-step rump shaker powered by a chugging bassline built to move the Rocky Mountains. Equal parts groove and menace, the track delivers stripped-back funk with heavyweight low-end engineering tailor-made for peak-time dancefloor damage.

Maponus continues the assault with “Assassin”, an eerie storytelling stomper dripping in tension and cinematic darkness. His third contribution to the EP is unleashing “One Punch”. A chaotic bass-distorting beast designed to rattle speakers and test sound systems to their limits.

Rubix steps in with the steel drum-infused bubbler “De Lingua”, injecting Island flavour into heavyweight Drum & Bass pressure. He follows up by delivering the grimy steppa “Mainframe”, a rugged roller packed with underground attitude. Closing out the EP is “Killer Critters”, a funkified one-foot skanker that ties the project together with pure bounce, grit, and undeniable swagger.
