A really special trackside moment for me this past Saturday...

Susan Mackie, a regular race fan at Peterborough Speedway, has been cheering me on over my legend car racing career. Susan is also a big Joey Logano fan and is often sporting Joey, Team Penske or Ford Racing gear... it didn't take long for Joey Logano to become a regular topic of conversation between us as he's my favourite driver as well, and someone who has inspired my own racing journey.

This past Saturday, Susan surprised me by gifting me one of her Joey Logano varsity jackets. She had collected a few over the years and thought I would enjoy having one. She was right!! Lol

I've wanted a jacket like this for a long time, and the fact that its been gifted to me from not only a Joey fan but a fan of mine too makes it even more special. (Plus it's a jacket from Joey's first championship!!)

Susan, thank you so much for this generous and meaningful gift. I love it. I truly appreciate it, and I am equally grateful for your continued support from the stands every time our series races at Peterborough Speedway. Thank you!!

Congratulations to my sister, Bailey, on her grade 8 graduation! 🎓🎉 She graduated with honours and also received the art award. Great job Bailey!🤜🤛 Now you will be in high school with me!

The racing (and zoo!) community is awesome. 🏁☺️

A few months ago, while at The Toronto Zoo with my family (my mum works there), a zoo volunteer noticed a Keaton Pipe Racing logo on one of our hats. That single observation sparked a great conversation, and we soon learned that his name is Norm Wallace and he is actually part of the BC Race Cars crew, racing the #24 car in the NASCAR Canada Series! We had a blast chatting about all things racing.

​Fast forward to yesterday: Norm Wallace completely surprised us by showing up at Peterborough Speedway to enjoy some racing and cheer me on! It was awesome having him at the track and seeing him again. (And I’m also glad he got to see my best performance yet!) 🏁

​Thank you for coming out and for your support, Norm! It means so much to me that you came and I can't wait to come cheer you and the BC Race Cars team on at a race later this summer. 😊 ...and my Mum is excited to have someone to chat racing with at work now lol😆🐆🐍🐢🦁🦇

Sooooo close to a win. After leading the majority of our race, rain came in during our last restart. I struggled to keep the lead with the wet track and slipped back to finish 2nd. Pumped to be in victory Lane again with a clean car to take home!!!🎉

This week, with Oshawa Animal Services, we want to highlight Gerard!🐾

Gerard is a lovely older boy looking for a forever home to spoil him in his golden years. He is looking for a home with no small kids, but he wouldn’t mind a dog or kitty friend to hangout with. He is a true couch potato. He loves lounging around and being close to his people. He also loves going for walks but needs someone to work with him on leash training.

Gerard has a very fun loving and goofy personality! He is currently living it up in a wonderful foster home and looking forward to his new adventure in his forever home!
