so let's start talking about these 7 executive functioning skills and how to implement them.

Typically, you will see these clouds☁️ in the summer with flat bottoms and fluffy tops(like cotton candy!🦄) These clouds are called the 𝘾𝙪𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙪𝙨 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙙𝙨☁️☁️.

We know that clouds are formed when the water vapour/warm air condenses 💧 as it climbs up and meets cold air.

The flat bottom of the cloud marks the 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 at which the water vapour (gas)💨 condenses and becomes water droplets (liquid).💧 Now, the fluffy top is because 𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐬 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐩!

Whether it’s singing, drawing, dancing, acting, sports or writing, (whatever your passion project is), these extracurricular activities have the common ground of being your 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 & 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮.🔥

1. Creativity engages your brain. 𝙄𝙩’𝙨 𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙖 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 & 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜👉 this means that when you are practicing creativity and incorporating play, you are also getting better at executive functions🧠.
2. Creativity promotes emotional development. This is because as we create, we are giving shape to our thoughts and emotions. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛-𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛-𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨.🎭
3. Creativity promotes resilience. If you are willing to 𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙖 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙚 𝙖 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙨, you are willing to stand up after every fall. If this is not resilience, we don’t know what is!
4. Creativity 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚, 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙪𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙨 with like-minded individuals.

𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐜𝐫𝐲, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐝. Their tears contain minerals and proteins to keep their eyes lubricated when they have been out of the water for some time. It also lubricates their nictitating membrane (aka third eyelid).👏 And at the same time, are a good rest stop for butterflies to get their salt & minerals!

Crazy how interconnected our ecosystem is! 🔥🔥

During fall, trees begin to change colour and shed leaves in response to the shortening of the day and daylight.⛅

𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐮𝐩 between different species of trees and even among individuals of the same species are the reason why some trees change colour faster than others.🍁🍁

New and bigger concepts can be tricky and complicated to understand. But it really doesn’t have to be.😌
𝘉𝘪𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘴!
(just like how 3D protein structures are built on hundreds of amino acids when they are joined together by peptide bonds, these polypeptides then form a secondary structure of alpha sheet and beta sheets which then form a more complex territory structure...) 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗞𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚! 😉

But our point is: Break down the big idea into smaller chunks. Start by addressing any questions and confusion you have on the smaller chunk. Build your way up to the bigger and bigger chunks until you 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭.👌

The 𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨 is the mathematical relationship🔢 between two numbers if the ratio of a larger number divided by a smaller number is equal to the sum of the two numbers divided by the larger number. This golden ratio is = 𝟙.𝟞𝟙𝟠.😮

The big deal is, this ratio is sometimes called the ɢᴏʟᴅᴇɴ ᴘʀᴏᴘᴏʀᴛɪᴏɴ or the ᴅɪᴠɪɴᴇ ᴘʀᴏᴘᴏʀᴛɪᴏɴ because of how often it appears in nature🌻! Pinecones, shells🐚 etc, follow the sequence of 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 …… and you guessed correctly! This is the 𝐅𝐢𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢 𝐬𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. Because the Fibonacci sequence represents the golden ratio closely, anything following the fibonacci sequence is said to have a golden ratio! (Fascinating, eh?🤯)

We actually have more than five senses! Other than the commonly known sight, smell, touch, hear and taste, these are the other senses we have:

👉𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 is our self awareness of the positioning of different body parts

👉𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 is our sense of change in temperature

👉𝐍𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 is our sense of pain

👉𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 is our sense of balance.
