How to choose colour for your accent wall?

1❗️. Think of your priorities: long-lasting or bold?

Bright colours of accent wall are always an option if you’d like your wall to stand out. Rich and vibrant colours like fire red or orange, will catch an eye of every guest in your home. However, you need to think carefully before making that decision.

• Bright colours are not as lasting as more neutral and elegant colours.

• If you are more interested in something more unusual and bolder, try muted shade of that colour to make it last longer.

• On average bright colour on accent wall lasts for 2-3 years before it has to be painted again.

• Neutral colour, like beige, will last you up to 10 years.

2❗️. Think of the room’s purpose

Different colours create different energies. Some people are more affected by colours than others. For example, bright red in a bedroom might create irritation and difficulty sleeping. In the meanwhile, light blue or green help relaxing and being calm.

• Bright colours like red, yellow, pink etc. are more commonly used in areas where energy is created: dining rooms, leaving rooms, and game room

• Softer colours like light green, brown, beige, and light blue are typically used in lower energy rooms like bedrooms and bathrooms

• The temperature of a colour is also important. Cold colours create different vibes than worm colours.

3❗️. Consider going with the colour that is darker than other walls in a room

• A darker wall will make a good contrast with other walls, and it will definitely be a centre of attention

• Making an accent wall lighter than other walls is also an option, but it is a bit riskier. If colours are not chosen properly, the room might feel off-balance.

4❗️. Make sure the accent wall compliments the colour scheme of entire room

• Details are important. Try to think of colours of all objects in a room like furniture, pillows, curtains, etc. For the best results everything has to be in balance.

• It would be a good idea to start with 2-3 main colours that you like, and chose all the decor in different shades of those colours, which would be secondary colours.

• Avoid painting accent wall into main colours, because the whole idea is to make an accent wall to stand out. If the accent wall is the same colour as everything else, this goal would be lost.

We order materials for your project, arrange trash removal, and mask the construction area to prevent dust from carrying through the house.

RENOVATION

All the planning now comes to reality. During the renovation, any your thoughts or concerns you have, need only be expressed once and then we’ll take the appropriate action.

QUALITY CONTROL & WARRANTY

Once we are all done, we will do one last final walk through with you to make sure everything on your home renovation project is completed. Enjoy our warranty program to give you peace of mind.
