ATU Canada Mourns with ALPA Union Family Following Tragic Loss

ATU Canada stands in solidarity with our ALPHA Airline Pilots Association family following this devastating loss. Two workers went to work and didn't come home. That grief is felt by every union family across this country. We also hold in our hearts all those who were injured and affected by this tragedy, and we hope for their full recovery.

Transit and transportation workers of all kinds face risks on the job that the public rarely sees. Workplace safety is not a talking point. It is a matter of life and death, and moments like this remind us why we fight so hard for every protection, every standard, every law that keeps workers safer.

Our hearts are with the families, the crews, and all those who loved these two pilots. We are grateful to the first responders who answered the call.
