Rnthps. Chienlung Star River
🧬 Phalaenopsis Liu's Star Dusts × Renanthera monachica

This is a truly unique intergeneric cross—bringing together two genera from the vandaceous orchid family. Phalaenopsis, the moth orchid, meets Renanthera monachica, a warm-growing species endemic to the lowland forests of Luzon in the Philippines.

Renanthera monachica is known for its vibrant red tones and distinctive star-shaped flowers, and when crossed with the graceful Liu's Star Dusts, the result is this stunning: cream petals splashed with burgundy spots arranged in a perfect star formation.

The Renanthera influence shines through in both looks and care. This hybrid would prefer warmer temps (20–31°C day, 18–24°C night), and brighter light than standard phalaenopsis. Just a step up from a beginner orchid if you're looking to graduate from standard phals!

Phal. Miki Mok Choi Bear Queen 'Fairytale'
🧬 Phalaenopsis Mok Choi Yew × LD's Bear Queen

Coral petals with magenta center and yellow base. The color combination is unusual—warm peachy tones against deep magenta. This is a polychilos type, so it blooms sequentially. New buds keep forming along the spike for weeks or months of continuous flowers. Fragrant too.

Warm-loving tropical type with Phalaenopsis violacea, gigantea, and bellina influence in the background. Prefers intermediate-warm to warm conditions (20–32°C+). Grow like polychilos!

Phal. Lioulin Sparrow
🧬 Phalaenopsis Tai-I Yellow Bird x Phalaenopsis Sogo Rosa

Gorgeous burgundy with white edges and a yellow column. The color is rich but clean—no muddy tones. Blooms reliably and flowers last for weeks. Lioulin has a good track record with breeding. These are strong and reliable bloomers with long lasting flowers. In spike now. 💕 Grow like any other standard phalaenopsis.

Phal. stuartiana 'Sogo' HCC/AOS
🧬 Species📍 Mindanao, Philippines
________________________________

This clone earned HCC/AOS recognition for good reason. White petals with deep burgundy spots on the lip and a yellow center—it's a solid representative of the species.

Stuartiana is a true species from Mindanao. It's straightforward to grow and blooms reliably. The flowers last weeks. What makes stuartiana distinctive is the mottled leaf pattern—that silvery-green variegation is characteristic of the species and part of what collectors look for.
