Landlords!

if someone has submitted an offer on your property, please do the kind thing and let them know as soon as you can or you’d like to move forward with them or not. Don’t rush it, make sure you’re doing your proper due diligence, but realistically, there’s no reason that should take any longer than a few days. A+ tenants have plenty of options nowadays, and they won’t necessarily wait around for you to make up your mind.

A common concern from buyers is “this building has bad reviews”. There are some buildings you should probably avoid, but in most scenarios, it’s best not to take the reviews too seriously. In general, people who are disgruntled are more likely to write a review than people who are not. Some reviews have nothing to do with the actual building itself, but rather issues with neighbors/landlords, problems with the buildings rules etc…

That being said, some buildings are better run than others, and some are probably best avoided altogether. Talk to your trusted professional and see what they have to say before missing out on a perfectly good opportunity.

-Recent research shows that even 6 hours is not enough for the body to adequately recover and recharge. 7-9 hours is the ideal range.

- There is a science to “night people” and “morning people”. People naturally have different circadian schedules. We tend to exist on a rigid morning focused schedule in the Western world.

- We also tend to glorify a lack of sleep as a badge of honour. Chronic poor sleep can increase all cause mortality risk by over 50%. Your immune system, your mental well being, your physical brain health will alone negatively impacted. Diseases like cancer, Alzheimer’s and various heart conditions can all be partially attributed to poor rest.

- Would you rather work for 12 hours at 50% or 6 hours at 100%?
Productivity is about quality, not quantity. A well rested mind will have a better handle a few tasks exceptionally well as opposed to many tasks with a moderate effort.

I highly recommend reading Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker. An eye opening book into the science of sleep and how crucial it truly is to your whole being.
