Last night I had the honour of being a finalist for the Emerging Solo Vocalist Category at the MARTY Awards🎙️

While I didn’t take home the award, I’m incredibly grateful to have been considered alongside such talented artists. Congratulations to the winners and all of the fellow finalists, you are all so deserving.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I’m even more excited about how much farther I can go. This nomination has only motivated me to work harder, grow more, and continue earning my place in this industry.

One year ago today, I graduated from university.

What makes these photos even more special is the story behind them.

At the time, I was still deciding between pursuing law or pursuing music. Like many graduates, I felt the pressure to choose the “right” path, and I wasn’t entirely sure what my future would look like.

During this photoshoot, the photographer asked if I wanted to hold a prop. I remember sitting there not knowing what to choose. A few moments later, he came back and handed me a (very heavy) microphone.

It might seem like a small moment, but it’s one I’ll never forget.

Holding that microphone felt natural, as if it represented something I already knew deep down but was still afraid to fully admit to myself. Looking back now, it feels like one of those moments that quietly reaffirmed what I was meant to do.

A year later, I’m incredibly grateful that I chose to pursue music full-time.

This past year has brought opportunities, performances, new music, challenges, lessons, and milestones that I’m so proud of. Most importantly, it’s brought me closer to becoming the artist I’ve always dreamed of being.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. I’m grateful for every person who has believed in me.

One year later, I’m still holding onto that dream and I truly believe we’re only scratching the surface of what’s possible. Here’s to everything we’ve accomplished so far, and to everything that’s still to come🎙️

Performing at this venue has been a goal of mine for a long time, so I’m incredibly excited that it’s finally happening. I’ll also be sharing some new music that night, and I can’t wait for you to hear what I’ve been working on.
