We're presenting the in-depth analysis for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) stream under Express Entry where we examine draw frequency, CRS cutoff scores and average processing times based on the data in our trackers. The timeline being reviewed is from January through May 2025.

Within the first 5 months of 2025, the IRCC made noticeable changes in its approach to the CEC program. The number and size of CEC-specific draws have significantly decreased since February, with only three rounds of invites issued across four months. With only 500 invites sent since then, these draws were significantly smaller than in prior years when draw numbers frequently exceeded 4,000 to 6,000 applicants.

Despite the decreased intake, the processing times have not gotten quicker. We calculated that the wait times to receive PPR between February and May were averaging 5.7 months and 5.9 months respectively.

We're excited to present the latest Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ processing time analysis report for September and October! This time around, we've combined the data for both months into one analysis AND included a new program in the report - Spousal Sponsorship.

Here are some interesting observations:

1. Our case numbers have grown! For some of the programs, we took over 50/60 cases for our analysis which demonstrated very clear trends πŸ™Œ

2. Citizenship processing times steadily remain much faster than what the IRCC mentions, 4.5 months on average on Immitracker compared to the 7 months posted by the IRCC... πŸš€

3. The distribution of shortest to longest processing times for CEC and PNP are huge! The longest cases took over 2 years. And what do these long cases mostly have in common? Interestingly, nationality 🀯

We’re excited to present the special edition of the Canadian Government / IRCC πŸ›οΈ vs. Immitracker ⏰ processing time estimates for both July and August 2024!

Based on the case data thoughtfully put in by our users, we can glean insights into actual processing times applicants are experiencing for some of the most popular Canadian immigration programs and citizenship πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

We have a few interesting takeaways from this reports:
1. PNPs continue to display outlier cases that took significantly over processing times to complete. For both July and August, cases that took 500+ days to process can be found. Could it be that this summer the IRCC was catching up on a forgotten PNP case backlog?

2. Citizenship grant is the only program listed below where the Immitracker processing times significantly differ from the IRCC time estimates. It’s for the fourth month in a row now that we see citizenship processing accelerating and taking under 5 months to be completed.

Are you surprised by any of the results or trends we discovered? Looking for additional data? Let us know in the comments! πŸ€”
