The Hearn Power Generating Station, named after Richard Lankaster Hearn, is a decommissioned power plant located in Toronto's Port Lands area. The plant was originally coal fired but it was later converted to use natural gas to generate electricity. The massive scale of this plant has been described as 'Pharaonic' and is large enough to fit 12 Parthenons inside it. Today, the building stands together with other towering landmarks as a reminder for the bygone industrial era of Toronto.
The close proximity of this site to the airport limited the ceiling for my drone flight. This resulted in more close-up shots instead of my usual higher-up aerial shots.

This video is about the beautiful building of R. C. Harris Water Treatment Plant which is located in beaches area of Toronto. Beginning its operations in 1941, it is the largest water treatment plant in Toronto and produces approximately 30% of Toronto's drinking water. The plant has a capacity to produce up to 950 million litres of water on a daily basis. The building, unlike most modern engineering structures, was also created to make an architectural statement. Fashioned in the Art Deco style, the cathedral-like structure remains one of Toronto's most admired buildings. The interiors are just as opulent with marble entryways and vast halls filled with pools of water and filtration equipment. The plant has thus earned the nickname "The Palace of Purification".
The plant is also a national historic civil engineering site, designated historical building and has been featured in many films, fashion and TV shoots. Some of the more popular recent appearances of this building were in The Expanse and Mayor of Kingstown. Despite some concerns of vulnerability to an attack on the water supply, the grounds around the plant remain open to public access.

This video is of Morningside Park on the east side of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The park is conveniently accessible and is open to public all year long. The video was shot in October where leaves were in full swing of color changing. During most of my shoots, it was either cloudy or hazy, I still made sure that fall foliage colors popped out to enjoy this beautiful phenomenon.
