Graze Creative Studio is a fully in-house digital content creation and social media management studio based in Toronto that works with small businesses and local brands in the food and beverage industry. From digital content creation to full-service social media management, it's a one-stop creative shop for helping businesses tell their unique story, connect deeper with their community and convert them into lifelong fans.
You can post every single day and still get crickets.
Because here’s the part nobody tells you: posting isn’t the same as showing up.
The brands with a real following aren’t just posting, they’re commenting on other accounts, showing up in their industry, replying to their own comments, engaging with the culture their customers actually care about.
Community isn’t a content pillar you check off.
It’s the whole game.
If your engagement has been flat, this might be why.
Nobody warns you about the parts that have nothing to do with the creative work.
The systems. The contracts. The boundaries you have to learn to hold the hard way. The mistakes, the failures, the lessons that only come from getting it wrong first.
I’ve had a few of those this year already. And I’m still grateful to be building this, growing pains and all.
There’s a fine line you walk when you’re trying to make a living off something that’s this tied to who you are. It shines a spotlight on every part of yourself you still need to work on.
Some days I genuinely can’t tell: am I growing a business, or is the business growing me?
I’m not sure this makes complete sense, but if any of it lands, tell me in the comments.
Some days we still can’t believe this is the job: we get to play with food for a living.
To chase the shot that’s been living in our heads for weeks.
To try six different ideas until we finally land on one that works.
And we do it all for brands we genuinely love, which is the icing on the croissant (pun very much intended).
I think that’s the real case for working with a creative studio instead of just filling a content calendar: your brand stops blending into everyone else’s feed.
Because yes, we’re marketers. We’re strategists. But underneath that, we’re artists, and in a time where so much content is starting to look identical, that’s not a small thing.
That’s the whole difference.
The thing is: art doesn’t come from copying a trend, it comes from actually playing until you find the thing only you could have made.
So if your brand is ready to look like itself again, not like a copy of something else, that’s exactly the kind of work we exist for. And if you have a project in mind, we’d love to hear it.

July, in a word: full. Full of creative work I’ve missed doing, and full of lessons I didn’t ask for but needed anyway.
I got to dive back into recipe development for brands this month, and honestly, it was everything I hoped it would be and then some. 🥹
Behind the scenes, we’ve also been quietly building toward some things we can’t talk about yet, but I’m genuinely proud of how far this studio has come to even be in a position to work on them.
It wasn’t all smooth, though. This month taught me a lot about our own internal systems, the kind of lessons you only really learn by hitting the wall first.
Growing pains, plain and simple… and I’d rather learn them now (while we’re small enough to fix quickly) than later.
Swipe through for a look at what July actually looked like around here. Excited for what’s to come!

We’re thrilled to (officially) announce that Founder’s Original is our newest content partner! 🥳🍹🥃🍋🟩
We’ve been obsessed with their line of bar-quality cocktails long before this partnership even started, so this feels like a full circle moment.
What you might not know yet is that we’re behind the lens this summer. 😏
We’ve been shooting, strategizing, and building out their full content and creator program. As the content rolls out across their feed throughout the summer, you’ll be seeing a lot more of what we’ve been working on.
Go say hello to FOUNDER'S ORIGINAL, and add them to your summer cocktail rotation if you haven’t already!
Anyone else get hungry when they’re shooting bakery content, or is that just us? 😅
The gap between what brands expect to spend and what a shoot actually requires is one of the most common friction points we see.
Not because studios overcharge, because most brands have never had to see the full picture.
Before a single frame is captured: research, creative direction, logistics, location scouting, prop sourcing, model casting, crew coordination. The more specific the location needs to be, the more models you need, the more coverage and demographic variance you’re looking for, the more time and cost at every stage before shoot day even begins.
On shoot day: equipment, lighting, crew, and assistants all scale with scope.
After the cameras pack up: editing, colour grading, retouching, sound design, file management, storage, software. Hours of footage shaped into the finished assets your brand actually uses.
A shoot isn’t one line item. It’s a complete production ecosystem.
The more you want from it, and the quicker the turnaround, the more the budget needs to reflect what that actually takes to deliver.

Most people see the final photos, but they rarely see the days (often weeks) before.
The questions that needed asking, the shot list that needed building, the mood boards and props and small creative decisions that determine whether the campaign actually delivers.
The shoot day itself is rarely where things go wrong. It’s the conversation that didn’t happen three weeks earlier about what the content needs to do, who it’s for, and what a win looks like when it’s over.
