🥯 Standing with Kiva’s Bagel Bar 🥯

This weekend, Kiva’s Bagel Bar was the target of what police are investigating as a hate-motivated attack. Two of their Toronto locations were impacted. Thankfully, no one was physically hurt, but no business or community should ever have to experience this.

Many of our communities are proud to be neighbours of this iconic Toronto institution. For decades, Kiva’s has brought people together over fresh bagels, and we’re proud to stand with them.

Hate has no place in our city. Full stop.

This past weekend, Bloordale shut down its streets for the 20th edition of the BIG on Bloor Festival – Bloordale’s Festival of Art & Culture, drawing 160,000+ visitors for a weekend of community building. Marlow by Fitzrovia could not be prouder to call Bloor & Dufferin home – this festival is one of the many reasons why we love this neighbourhood.

We showed up with a booth built for connection, not just conversation:

Recently at Sloane, our award-winning community at Yorkdale, we hosted a Pride Bash in celebration of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies, bringing residents together for an unforgettable evening filled with energy, colour, and connection. The event featured a live DJ, drag queen performance, signature drinks, swag, photography, gourmet treats, pastries, and more.

The rental revolution is now, where community comes first, experiences are elevated, and every resident is invited to enjoy life to the fullest.

A significant milestone for housing and downtown revitalization in Guelph.

Guelph City Council has approved the proposed 24-storey Waverley purpose-built rental community at 70 Fountain Street East, paving the way for more than 400 new rental homes in the city’s core. The project will deliver much-needed student housing while supporting the City’s vision for thoughtful growth, transit-oriented development, and a vibrant downtown.

At Fitzrovia, we believe that addressing Canada’s housing challenges requires ambitious solutions, strong partnerships, and a long-term commitment to building communities where people can live, work, and thrive. This approval reflects the kind of forward-thinking city-building that is essential to meeting the needs of our growing communities.
