It’s hard to believe it’s been 5 years since we opened Waverley, our College & Spadina community. As our first self-managed building at Fitzrovia, it’s always held a special place –and it’s the people who call it home and the energy within the community that make it such an incredible place. We took some time to sit down with some of the faces behind Waverley to hear what it means to them today.

June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to honour the rich histories, diverse cultures, and enduring traditions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

The communities we build, manage, and call home are located on lands that have been home to, and cared for by, Indigenous peoples since time immemorial. Acknowledging this history is an important part of how we understand our responsibility to the land, to our communities, and to one another.

We are proud to recognize Indigenous voices, artists, storytellers, and communities whose work continues to shape our understanding of place, belonging, and the natural world.

Artist Spotlight: Kenojuak Ashevak (1927–2013)

Kenojuak Ashevak was a pioneering Inuit artist from Kinngait, formerly known as Cape Dorset, Nunavut, whose work helped bring Inuit art to audiences across Canada and around the world.

Through bold forms, vivid imagery, and a deep connection to the Arctic landscape, its wildlife, and community life, Kenojuak created a body of work that remains among the most celebrated in Canadian art. Her iconic pieces are held in major collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Gallery of Canada.

Sloane at Yorkdale. Authored from the first line.

As our master-planned community continues its lease-up, the market is speaking - and it’s saying what we always believed: there is no substitute for uncompromising design.

Architecture, interiors, and the resident experience are entirely authored by us - every element of the Fitzrovia Collection shaped by a single, coherent vision. Specification is set at the ceiling, not the floor; what others call an upgrade is simply our baseline. And operations are staffed and run to the highest standard.

Our “Leather” suite is sold out - and this week its design took home Best Suite Design at BILD 2026, a nod to something we believe holds true across every rental home at Sloane. In a market flooded with micro-suites, 65% of Sloane’s homes are spacious two- and three-bedrooms, built for people who actually live in them.

If you haven’t seen Sloane yet, now is the time.

One stage. One city. One unforgettable night for Toronto.

On June 6th, Nathan Phillips Square transforms into the heart of the city as TOgether presented by Fitzrovia brings Torontonians together for a free wellness festival and concert featuring Feist, Alessia Cara, Broken Social Scene and Paul Langlois of The Tragically Hip.

But this is about more than music. In partnership with MRG Live, TOgether is a city-wide movement supporting UHN Foundation and Michael Garron Hospital, with a goal of raising $2 million+ for the hospitals and healthcare workers who care for our communities every day.

From wellness programming and family activities to live performances by some of Canada’s most celebrated artists, TOgether is designed to celebrate everything that makes Toronto and Canada special: connection, pride, resilience and showing up for one another.

At Fitzrovia, we believe building communities goes beyond rental housing. It’s about creating experiences, investing in wellbeing and helping shape a stronger, healthier Canada for the future.

Toronto, let’s come TOgether.

Primrose Hill has been shortlisted for the Architizer A+Awards – a recognition that reflects our commitment to reimagining purpose-built rental housing in Canada. Designed by Toronto-based architecture firm PARTISANS, the project represents a shared vision for what rental housing in this city can be.

Located in Moss Park and complementing our vibrant Maddox Cabbagetown community, Primrose Hill introduces two new towers that free up the ground level for residents and the surrounding neighbourhood. The buildings grow wider as they rise, opening up space at grade for community use. A skybridge at the seventeenth floor connects the two towers into a single community, and precast arches at the base nod to the site’s Brutalist roots.

From the outset, we wanted Primrose Hill to feel genuinely different from the typical downtown tower – not just in how it’s designed, but in how it looks and feels to live there. That’s why we brought in London-based artist and designer Adam Nathaniel Furman to collaborate on the facade. Furman uses colour as a tool for placemaking, and his work here gives the building a warmth and presence that we think will make it a genuine landmark in our community.
