Pizzelle are a traditional family treat my mom would always make at Christmas.
I took over the tradition and always made them and followed the recipe for both classics but chocolate ones were my favourite.
This year I decided to merge the classic with Christmas tradition “gingerbread “.
These Gingerbread Pizzelle are delicious!!
These may become my Christmas favourites.

Cabbage and bean soup & baked deep dish cornbread pizza with cheese chunks.
This was a staple dish growing up that my mom would make throughout fall/winter.

Fava Bean and Potato Stew
This was a staple dish growing up, my mom made this simple, yet delicious dish.
Loved it and still love it.
Now I make the same dish and sometimes I’ll alter it, like I did today by adding some carrots.

“Minesta” and “Pizza di gradine”….cabbage & bean soup, and baked deep dish corn pizza.
This was a staple dish, (a poor mans dinner in Italy) my mom used to say .
She used to make this only in the fall and winter.
I loved it so much I started making this all the time, but I learned why she would only make it in the fall/winter…because it has to bake for 4 hours in the oven.
But it’s worth the hot 🥵 house because it’s soo delicious!
