Measurement-Based Care (MBC) is empowering behavioral health organizations with a new approach to substance use disorder treatment. With consistent measurement, critical signals like disengagement, shifts in motivation, or changes in functioning are surfaced early, giving clinicians the information they need to intervene sooner, tailor treatment more effectively, and keep clients engaged throughout their recovery journey.

We recently brought together clinical and research experts from the Yale MBC Collaborative and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine to explore how to effectively apply MBC in SUD treatment. The conversation ranged from how to select the right measures and integrate MBC into clinical workflows, to tips for using outcome data to drive better treatment decisions.

Check out the highlights below!

What G2’s 2026 Mental Health Software Rankings Reveal About Where Behavioral Health Is Heading | Greenspace (US) 06/11/2026

G2 just named Greenspace Health as the Best for Measurement-Based Care in their 2026 mental health software rankings.

A couple years ago, MBC didn’t have its own category in software rankings. Today, MBC has gone from a clinical best practice to a crucial standard in behavioral health.

Here’s why:

→ Accreditation bodies are requiring it
→ Funders and RFPs are asking for outcome data as a condition of funding
→ CMS is tying payments to demonstrated clinical improvement
→ Value-based contracts are making outcomes the currency of care

The organizations implementing MBC are working to deliver better care, while also positioning themselves to access increased funding, meet accreditation standards, and succeed in an outcomes-driven system.

Thank you again to G2 for the feature. It's a reflection of the momentum this field is building around outcome-driven care, and the organizations leading the way.

We’re diving into what G2's 2026 rankings reveal about where behavioral health is heading and what it means for your organization.

Last week, members of Greenspace’s Toronto team participated in Raising the Roof’s Home Base Softball Tournament for the fourth year in a row.

While there was plenty of friendly competition (and a finals appearance for one of our teams!), what makes this event meaningful is the opportunity to support Raising the Roof’s important work addressing homelessness across Canada.

Through affordable housing initiatives and employment programs, Raising the Roof is helping create pathways to stability for individuals and communities across the country. We’re proud to support their mission and to join so many other organizations coming together around this cause each year.

Thank you to the Raising the Roof team for putting on such a meaningful event. See you next year!

A new article published in JAMA Network highlights CMS’ new payment model that leverages technology to extend care beyond the clinic and ties revenue directly to health outcomes.

The ACCESS model includes behavioral health (depression and anxiety) as one of its four tracks, and requires organizations to submit standardized clinical and patient-reported outcome measures to demonstrate improvement.

MBC empowers organizations with the infrastructure to systematically collect, track, and act on outcome data, which is exactly what ACCESS requires to demonstrate clinical improvement and unlock new revenue streams.

“Measurement-Based Care (MBC) helps us deliver better care.”

At the Openminds conference earlier this year, we were joined by Jennifer Nadeau, CSW, Senior Vice President of Child & Family Services at Community Health Resources, for a Lunch and Learn session on the impact of MBC.

Jennifer shared how MBC has helped CHR stay closely attuned to how clients are really doing throughout care and ensure services remain responsive to their needs. With MBC at the heart of their practice, clinical teams are better equipped to recognize changes in symptoms, identify when additional support may be needed, and make more informed treatment decisions.

MBC has helped create a more transparent and collaborative care experience, empowering both clients, clinicians, and leadership a clearer understanding of progress.

Thank you, Jennifer and the CHR team, for sharing your experience and for your continued partnership in advancing MBC. 🙌
