Most people think retiring early is the dream.
The research says for a lot of Canadians, it turned into a nightmare.
And number 6 is the one that hurts the most.
Most people figured if retirement didn’t work out, they’d just go back to work.
The research says that door is harder to open than anyone expects.
60% of Canadians over 45 say they’ve faced age discrimination trying to get hired.
Skills gaps.
Resume gaps.
The backup plan wasn’t there.
The fix: Build a source of income that doesn’t depend on anyone hiring you.
The stock market is one of the few tools everyday people have access to that can do exactly that.
But most never start because they don’t know if a company is even worth the risk.

Being able to educate our youth on the importance of financial literacy, is not only vital but fulfilling for myself & Dean.
As we continue to partner with the TDSB, we can only hope that we can build new relationships across the TDSB that will help us support and enrich our communities, with the fundamental understanding of financial literacy.
