✨ What's that for!? Strap Edition ✨

Ever wondered why there are yoga straps hanging around the studio? More than just a long piece of fabric, straps are a versatile prop that can help you find support, explore movement, and create more ease in your practice. 🧘‍♀️

Here are just a few ways they can help:

🤲 Postural support you can feel: In this video, you'll see a strap worn like a backpack! This unique setup provides gentle feedback and awareness, helping you connect with your posture and notice when you begin to slouch.

🌀 Explore your mobility without strain: Straps can help you reach further without forcing or compromising your form, allowing you to move with more confidence and control.

🌿 Discover your range of motion: Whether you're working on shoulder mobility, hamstring flexibility, or hip opening, straps help you explore your current range without pushing beyond it.

✨ Access deeper poses safely: In the supported King Pidgeon pose shown here, the strap helps bring the foot closer to the body without straining the shoulders or forcing the bind. It's a great example of how props can help bridge the gap between where you are and where you'd like to go.

😌 Create space & find rest: From forward folds to restorative poses, straps can support your body so you can soften, release tension, and settle more deeply into relaxation.

✨ October Schedule Updates ✨

We’ve got some exciting shifts this month at Ebb & Flo!

🌸 Mao is now guiding our Saturday morning Pilates, with a new start time of 9:15am.

What to expect: core-focused movement, mindful strength, and clear guidance to help you feel both strong and supported.

🌿 Ellie is stepping into the Sunday Intermediate Flo at 11am.

What to expect: creative transitions, intelligent sequencing, and plenty of opportunities to explore challenging poses.

🌙 And we’ve added a brand-new Restorative class on Sundays at 2pm, led by Chrys.

What to expect: cozy prop setups, time for meditation and breathwork, and thoughtful insights inspired by the seasons and cycles of the earth.

We’re so grateful for this amazing team and can’t wait for you to practice with them this fall. 🍂💛
