Something just turned 5 🥹✨

THE LORE 📖
We became a trio in 2018 working on events at an eccentric speakeasy. When everything fell apart during lockdown we started thinking about ways we could put our creative powers into our own community. We officially became a company in April 2021 - and started producing our own events that year. It went a little something like this…

2021: Tiffany Boxx’s iconic .date.to and our very first bi-weekly cabaret brunches ⭐️

2022: Our very first BI BI BABYs to celebrate bisexuality working with over 50 artists 💘

2023: A VERY BUSY YEAR launching Discow, a Barbie Pool Party, and 13 other insane events in collaboration with some amazing creatives 🪩

2024: Bi-monthly themed BI BI BABYs and a massive q***r art party in a historic mansion 🎨

2025: Even more bi-monthly themed BI BI BABYs and tbh a little bit of burn out 🫢

2026: This is the year we married 3 couples on Valentine’s Day, started a monthly art event .fold will throw one very wild BI BI BABY, and perhaps even a big gay renaissance faire…? 🎠

We are so excited to keep growing with this community, meeting new artists, and working with some truly inspiring creatives in Toronto!

Love forever and always,
Meg, Kris, and Vic of Something ✨

If you’re an event organizer or community member interested in making your events more accessible - this VIRTUAL WORKSHOP is for you!

This workshop is about building events with intention, care, and curiosity, and understanding how small shifts can make a real difference in who gets to participate, feel welcome, and feel safe. Hosted by Lindsay Peets, this session will walk through practical, thoughtful ways organizations can make their events more accessible, from planning and communication to space, programming, and mindset!

About the Facilitator

Lindsay Peets (she/her) is a disability justice practitioner, patient advocate, and accessibility consultant here to dismantle the myth that accessibility kills creativity. As a disabled person, Lindsay brings lived experience, big opinions, and a deeply practical mindset to helping creative event companies build access that actually works - without killing the budget, the energy, or the vibe.

She’s a disabled burlesque performer and an international-level parasport athlete, which means she’s experienced accessibility (and the lack of it) in glitter-soaked venues, backstage chaos, and high-pressure international events. Lindsay is passionate about helping creative teams move past checkbox compliance and perfection paralysis, and instead design bold, realistic accessibility choices that elevate the entire event. Her work treats accessibility as a creative asset—something that can deepen connection, expand audiences, and make events more powerful, playful, and unforgettable.”
