Written during lockdown while living in B.C. and navigating the realities of chronic illness, the song was sparked by a story about memory and disorientation, but quickly revealed itself as something far more personal as Neff navigated the realities of living with endometriosis.

Written and recorded in Montreal ​w​ith producer Connor Seidel​ (Charlotte Cardin, Half Moon Run), the song ​was sparked by late-night walks soundtracked by early 2000s hip hop and R&B influences like Aaliyah, Destiny’s Child, and Alicia Keys. ✍️🎤
