This Friday, Friendly FREE Tax Clinic allows you to easily DIY for FREE!

Join us this Friday for a friendly Tax Presentation that will allow you to understand the simplicity of doing your tax returns – and for FREE! Most Canadians, for example, with income under $20,000 and paying a little for rent, will benefit from a refund of about $1,200 for doing their tax return (Trillium $300, GST $300, Climate Change $300, Rent $300 …).
Jennifer Choo Chee, who has volunteered extensively for our community in recent years, is an Income Tax Specialist with several years of experience with H&R Block as a Tax Preparer and Teacher. Jennifer completed her graduate studies in business in the USA. I will assist Jennifer. I was an accountant in the 1990s for the decade, working at Ernst & Young, Manulife and Nesbitt Burns. I did hundreds of returns in those early years when it was considerably more difficult.
Eventually, you could get some assistance to go back to the 10-year limit - which is a lot of money and would bring great peace of mind and money. If you do not have the tax software for 2011 or other recent years – Jennifer can help since she has the software for all of the past 12 years.
This is why ADHD is easily the most treatable mental health challenge. Together we can do it – with an accountability buddy or a small group! Many clinics will do your return for free – and the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) offers plenty of free software and support.
Another tax specialist, Michael, will be joining in as well.
The objective is to familiarise you with how to do a basic tax return (which most of us need to do, where there is only a T4 slip, a rental receipt ...).
