I’m hoping to celebrate today with a Jays’ win, but they are playing the scary Atlanta lineup with Corbin starting, so the odds are not good.

I will go back to the time where I got tickets to sit in the KPMG section. Knowing that it may never happen again, I took advantage. 😁

My friend had told me beforehand that there is a buffet with a snack wall. I didn’t expect the amount and the quality! The snacks didn’t get restocked, so every time I passed by, I took something to put in my purse for “later”. I especially liked the branded 50th Season packaging. There were popcorn, corn nuts, peanuts, candy, chocolate, mini cakes, and cookies.

They served prime rib, chicken, sushi, pulled pork orecchiette, jumbo shrimps and pre-cracked crab legs. On the other side, they had typical ballpark food like hot dogs, burgers, chicken tenders, pulled pork sandwiches, and Kaz-adillas. There was also a fancy charcuterie and cheese board that I didn’t take a picture of.

The prime rib was so delicious. I regret a little bit getting seconds because then I didn’t have space to try everything, but it was so good, how can I not? I didn’t bother with the ballpark fare. The desserts weren’t as impressive, with cookies, mini cupcakes, doughnut holes, pie, fruit and a chocolate fountain. It wasn’t appealing to me because it was self serve and as more people came, I was weary of shared serving utensils haha. I grabbed my cookies early.

Okay, the seats. Yes, that is my coffee on the visitor dugout where J-Force dances on. They were very strict with us not putting anything on there. Before the game started, I also grabbed a drumstick ice cream cone. Midway through the game, I tried a pulled pork Kaz-adilla. Alcoholic drinks were not included so I drank a lot of Clearly Canadian.

You can also order off the menu from the seats, so I got a pretzel. It was ginormous. I took a picture of it laying on my lap.

During “last call”, I ordered a lemongrass pork sandwich. I didn’t even touch it. I think M took it to work for lunch the next day.

Last picture is what I pulled out from my purse when I got home. 😂

What a fun experience and the Jays won big! -A

The only place we come back to in Owen Sound is . K and M have an obsession with the burgers there. I mean, look how huge they area!

I don’t even think we ordered anything else. We skipped out on the desserts this time because we didn’t want to fall asleep driving home. -A

We did a quick Bruce Trail hiking trip in April when the weather was starting to get warm. I thought we’ve visited all the Owen Sound establishments but there are some that we haven’t gotten to. This restaurant is called Parkwood. There was a band setting up while we were eating so we got to hear some music. It would have been cool to stay and listen to their set, but we were so tired from our hike.

We got a few dishes to share because that’s how we roll. A house salad, which is a rare dish we would get, but it sounded tasty.

We got a bbq chicken pizza which was really delicious. They had a wood oven to bake the pizza.

The last dish was a buttermilk chicken sandwich, which was the best thing on the menu and it didn’t disappoint! -A

My kids are actually capable!

K made cookies on her own because I refused to help her for a school bake sale. They were delicious and she also made a giant one for us.

L was freaking out because she had to make baguettes for French class as a bonus assignment. I think she thought it would so hard, but once she broke it down and followed each step, I was proud that she was able to do this all by herself. The best part was that she got it eat it herself and didn’t have to share with her class. -A

The girls wanted to recreate our Asia trip, so we went to get sushi from Oceans (which is surprisingly yummy) and they replated it. We also tried to make our own ja leung, but that was a fail cuz the noodles were oily and ripped apart and the dough was not fresh enough. -A

Going through my bar and grill phase. Jack Astors has good vibes but subpar food. I still think their chicken fingers are the best thing there. I need to stop trying new things like this hunter’s chicken and salmon bowl. They are also inconsistent with their birthday treat… previously, this brownie was served with ice cream and this time it was just whipped cream. -A

Toronto’s best pho needs no introduction. I had the Special, with all the meats. So generous with the meats and delicious broth. -as

Happy hour at means a few dollars off the tuna tartare and the Keg burger. We also got the nachos, of course. We told them we were celebrating the end of the girls’ competitive season, so the waitress brought out the Billy Miner pie for them too! -A

Only 4 (unofficially 5) hot dogs can be bought at a time on Loonie hot dog days at the game. What a low limit! The lines are so long too.

Right now I have only eaten 3 and the number is at 81,806 in the mid 5th inning. Let's see how much longer we can wait in line. -N

The kids meals from Boston Pizza look better than the adult meals. I wonder if I could get away with ordering kids meals for myself. I should try this experiment when I don’t eat with the kids

Anyway, K got the spaghetti with bolognaise sauce with salad. L got the pint-size pizza (she likes to say “pint” with a soft “I” sound like “mint”). I laughed when the waitress also said it the same way. I don’t think English is her native language.

The only acceptable pasta at is the Hungry Carnivore. They used to have a great lasagna but it’s not on the menu anymore. -A
