We at UCM are big believers of unwinding before going to sleep. Whether it is watching a short video, meditation or checking out favourite shoes. The idea is to detach ourselves from all the activities we have worked hard on throughout the day. You always need to sleep not with tomorrow’s plan in your head but with a content and relaxed feeling. This helps productivity, planning and brain energy the following day.

One of the reasons for people facing low confidence and self esteem issues is their inability to draw boundaries when required. If you are a victim of passive aggression or constant verbal abuse, you are bound to develop self doubt and loathing. Take the necessary step, stop allowing people to disrespect you !

Whatever we internalize about ourselves has a huge impact on how we treat others in relationships. If we have not often regarded ourselves important, worthy of love or have breached our boundaries just to make someone happy, then it is less likely that you would treat someone better. Your belief’s about emotional investment starts with you, treat yourself like a king/queen before you treat someone like a queen/king.

What is the one thing you have experienced as a super power. Courage ! it has helped you overcome things which you thought would destroy you mentally. But you rose up and marched on to reclaim your life, your peace, your satisfaction of what you are as a person. Only because you decided to show courage and put yourself first before anyone else. Take care of you superpower and use it wisely whenever you need it.

Self talk is a crucial element of mental health.

f you cannot talk to yourself like you would to a person you love, you won't be able to unlock the potential you are sitting on. Constant positive self talk is the key to keep moving towards your goal despite hurdles you face along the way !

Self confidence is extrinsic, it reflects what you are good at, however, self esteem is intrinsic in nature, it represents how you regard yourself, the self talk you do, how comfortable are you with who you are. Confidence is easy to get from our environment, self esteem is something we build from scratch !
