Write On - Supporting Prisoners Through Correspondence

Write On! is a group of volunteers who support and stand in solidarity with prisoners in Canada, both in the provincial and federal systems.
We answer prisoners’ letters and respond to their requests about various topics. We strive to learn from prisoners themselves through their letters, about the conditions of prison life, and the systemic issues they face. We use this information to raise awareness about these issues, and to advocate for a criminal justice system where people will be treated with dignity and humanity.

Happy holidays from the volunteers of Write On! Yesterday, we held our annual holiday card writing session and sent out over 100 cards to people in prisons across Canada ☃️ it’s been a great year for prisoner correspondence and we can’t wait for the next ✨

If there’s one aspect of Write On! that’s essential (besides our volunteers of course) it’s having a functional PO BOX. We are so grateful to the CFSC for securing this integral part of our services for another two years! It’s because of people like them that we can accomplish our goals and make a difference 🥰
