Can heart rate variability (HRV) provide additional insights into neurological health?
A new study investigated whether HRV features could help support the auxiliary diagnosis of epilepsy. Researchers observed lower HRV in individuals with epilepsy across multiple testing conditions, reinforcing the connection between autonomic nervous system function and brain health.
Although HRV is not designed to replace traditional diagnostic tools, studies like this highlight the growing role of physiological data in supporting clinical decision-making.
As wearable technologies and remote monitoring continue to evolve, HRV may become an increasingly valuable source of objective health information.

HRV features as potential biomarkers for auxiliary diagnosis in epilepsy - Scientific Reports Epilepsy affects around 70 million people worldwide, and diagnosis is often difficult and delayed, exposing patients to avoidable morbidity and psychosocial burden. Heart rate variability (HRV) is a non-invasive marker of autonomic nervous system function that may be altered in epilepsy and may...
As Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month continues, many clinicians are exploring proactive ways to support cognitive health before significant decline occurs.
Emerging research highlights the value of EEG-based assessments, neurofeedback, and biofeedback as tools that may help strengthen attention, memory, emotional regulation, and cognitive resilience in aging populations. Early brain health monitoring and personalized training protocols can play an important role in preventative care.
Learn how neurofeedback is being integrated into cognitive wellness strategies for healthy aging.

At Divergence Neuro, we believe neurofeedback works best when paired with strong clinical frameworks. That is why we are proud to bring the Attuned Core Protocol Suite by Attuned Neurofeedback & Psychotherapy of New Jersey to our platform.
Built by clinicians and refined through years of real-world application, the suite provides structured neurofeedback starting points designed around nervous system regulation, trauma integration, sensory processing, and executive functioning support.
The protocols are informed by the work of Clair L. Goldberg, PsyD, BCN and Leanne Hershkowitz, LPC, QEEG-D, BCN, leaders in trauma-informed neurofeedback and clinical integration.
Whether you are newer to neurofeedback or an experienced provider, the Attuned Core Protocol Suite was designed to support practical implementation in clinical settings.

Caregiving can be rewarding, but it can also place significant demands on physical and mental wellbeing. During Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month, we're highlighting the often-overlooked impact of caregiver burnout and why recovery matters just as much as stress management.
Our latest article examines the challenges caregivers face and explores how neurofeedback, biofeedback, and recovery-focused wellness strategies can support resilience over time.

Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month Highlight: Researchers are exploring an unexpected potential approach for Alzheimer’s disease: xenon gas.
Traditionally used as an anesthetic, xenon was shown to shift brain immune cells (microglia) into a more protective state in Alzheimer’s disease models. Researchers observed reduced inflammation, protective microglial activity associated with amyloid clearance, and better preservation of brain structure.
While still early-stage research, these findings highlight growing interest in therapies that support the brain’s natural protective and regulatory processes.
For clinicians and therapists working with cognitive decline, it is a reminder that meaningful progress may come from exploring different ways to support brain health and resilience.

At the 37th Annual Boston International Trauma Conference with SYMMETRY Neuro-Pathway Training, a common topic in conversations with clinicians today has been regulation. Many clients can recognize their stress patterns or emotional triggers, but maintaining calm, focus, or recovery in real time can still be challenging.
This is where more practitioners are beginning to explore approaches that make regulation measurable and trainable.
We are in the Foyer between the Embodiment Room and the Main Conference Room discussing neurofeedback, brain scans, and trauma-informed clinical workflows. If you are attending, come by and share how you approach nervous system regulation in your practice.
