Family Support Institute of BC (FSI) is a provincial not-for-profit society committed to supporting families who have a family member with a disability. FSI is unique in Canada and the only grass roots family to family organization that has a broad volunteer base.

Making a life Without Limits – One Student at a Time

Since 1994, the Cerebral Palsy Association of British Columbia (CPABC) has proudly supported students with cerebral palsy through our Education bursary program. This initiative, jointly funded by the Kinsmen Foundation and CPABC, is available to BC residents aged 17 and older who plan to attend a post-secondary institution in the following academic year.

Applications will be accepted starting July 15, 2026. The deadline to apply is September 15, 2026.

To apply, please complete the online application form available through their website. If you require a Word version, email CPABC at [email protected]. Once you’ve filled out the form and answered all required questions, save a copy for your records and email the completed application to [email protected].

To be eligible for this bursary, you must be 17 years of age or older, reside in British Columbia, and be diagnosed with cerebral palsy. You must also be a current member of the Cerebral Palsy Association of BC. Membership is free and can be completed online. You must plan to attend a certified or accredited post-secondary institution in British Columbia.

BC Children's Hospital and Child Health BC are updating the guidelines that shape how children and youth get mental health care in hospital across BC. If you or someone you love has been through this, your voice matters. They want to know what good care looks like from your point of view.

Want to take part? Have questions?

BC Children's Hospital and Child Health BC are welcoming youth, parents, caregivers, and family members who have been through child or youth mental health care in hospital. Indigenous families are especially encouraged to reach out.

5th Annual TCDC Golf Scramble ⛳️

On Saturday, May 2nd we held our annual golf scramble at the Skeena Valley Golf & Country Club. This year's theme was an afternoon at the circus!🎪

Together we raised $7,351.41 for our community!

This money will be put towards our Foundations for Play Project at our Park Centre location. This project focuses on building and outdoor space upgrades to help us better serve families in our community.

Thank you to everyone who golfed, joined us for dinner and bid on the dessert auction.

Another special thank you to the crew at the Skeena Valley Golf & Country Club, including their restaurant staff.

We are so grateful for the ongoing support of our community!
